Howdy all, I just started playing warhammer after a few years rest, and decided to make my favourite force, the orks.

Pretty much steady painting and modelling updates every week or so. I'll be putting up an army list soon, which I may need a hand with, because ive never been good at the gaming side of things

I recently got a whole bunch of Ork models of the great jirc (thanks heaps!), and over the next week or so, ill be re-modelling most of the models, and beggining to paint!

First painting update, I got my Mekboy done. Such a fun model to paint, and has a lot of detail and character. All that's left to do is figure out how I want to base him. Should I do urban bases, or just stick to plain-jane desert bases?

I also got a bit of a start on some shoota boys. Mind you, a majority of the models that I got from jirc need stripping and re modelling, which is what im working on currently. I'm planning on having two squads of 10, with a big shoota in each. I'm trying to go for a lot of firepower in the army, instead of the typical Chop 'em up.

And Finally, the war boss. I've gone with the straight from the blister War boss with big choppa, and I think that he's a perfectly fine model the way he is, so no conversions or kit-bashing here. I may convert a war boss somewhere down the line, but for the mean time, im happy with him. Obviously, he's still WIP, so i'll post updates once I get the skin done.

That's it for now. It's a long weekend and wet outside, so I may get this war boss done and a start on painting some of these shoota boyz.

Thanks for reading!

EDIT: I fixed the photos!

Choice bro, looking good, glad the models are getting good use. They have been sitting in my wardrobe for the last 8 years so good to see them getting painted up properly! (my painting skills at 12 were not very good...)

Try hosting your photos on Dakka. I can't see any of them. Just boxes with red "x"s.

I'm looking forward to seeing your Waaaaggghhh!!!

Thanks for the tip, JB!

I've made a bit of progress on the army. I got my hands on some much needed super glue today, so I finally got to assemble my painted warboss, my nobs, and a few other bits and bobs. The Warboss is all done and painted, and am very happy with the end result.

I've also converted a Painboy for my army out of the Mad Dok Grotsnik model, and the prodder from the plastic gretchin kit. I replaced the power claw, as it looked pretty average and the blades weren't choppy enough for me, haha.

That's all I have for now. I'll start work on painting the painboy and a choppa squad and hopefully have updates by the end of the week!

Thanks for reading!

Nice dude. Still nothing here yet, hopefully tomorrow. Went and bought some paints yesterday, the manager gave my three year old a plastic dwarf model, so he painted his first model yesterday, ha ha. Painted it all silver!

Now that I can see the pics, I like what I see. The conversions are great and the Warboss is looking good. Is that a piece of slate on his base?
