It all started when my wife bought me the Bloodthirster for Christmas two years ago. She had seen me looking at it on the Forgeworld site enough times and she couldn't stomach the idea of buying a $600 Titan (honestly, neither can I), so she got it for me. Then at the Games Day Baltimore last year I picked up the Keeper of Secrets. I still think it's my best paint job. My wife came through for me once again last Christmas by giving me "The Vrok" from Ultraforge, after noticing how disappointed I was at the relase of Forgeworld's Changer of Ways. I really don't like how the wings just look like big ovals, and it just looks very awkwardly sculpted... I'm just not a fan. But I did like the Ultraforge version, which handily fits on a 50mm base, unlike anything from Forgeworld. Then, on Friday, I was at a game store a few towns over and noticed that they had a Forgeworld Great Unclean One in their display cabinet that was unpainted. I asked if they'd be interested in selling it and after haggling a little bit I took it home with me. After joking with a friend about how I was going to paint it that night and having it ready to play on Saturday, I went home, and my inner Warhammer addict took over and forced me to stay awake painting it for the next 4 hours. Saturday morning came along and, lo and behold, a fully painted Greater Daemon of Nurgle was on the table, to resounding cries of "You're f*^&ing nuts, dude" echoing throughout my FLGS. So here they are, in all their myriad glory: The Greater Daemons of Chaos.

Note- I realize that none of these are Space Marines, and therefore are incapable of being cool, but please, try to suffer through.

Very very awesome! My only real complaint is that the Vrok doesnt have any noticeable deep tzeentch blue to him but he is still painted extraordinarily well

Wow, gorgeous! I love Ultraforge's stuff too, and all of these are outstanding models and challenging pieces to work on.

The skin tones and NMM on the sword of the Keeper, in particular, are wonderful.

His base layer is Regal Blue. Highlighting blue with blue is boring, and decidely un-Tzeentchy. One of my biggest problems with Forgeworld's website is that everything on there is so badly painted. His paint scheme is a take on pictures from dinosaur books of the Archeopteryx.

Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

I'm really getting a kick out of how everyone's favorite is the Great Unclean One. Even here all my friends like it the best. It seriously took me 4 hours to paint it. Very, very simple. I just base coated it with Catachan Green, drybushed with Kommando Khaki, did another layer with some watered down Rotting Flesh, and then highlighted with Bleached Bone. Then, I just did the flesh with Mechrite Red and highlighted with Dwarf Flesh, then used Tamiya Smoke mixed with their Clear Red and watered that down to do the blood. Finally, I took some Leviathan Purple wash and traced along the places where the skin is torn to give some depth.

As for the Vrok, I based him with Regal Blue, then used Camo Green and Hawk Turqouise to highlight.
