Awesome work man! it looks really good. I always giggle when I see that model cuz in reality that model would fall over with that giant claw of death lol

You have done a beautiful job on that model and my only suggestion is to modify it somehow with the pose, maybe have him standing ontop of a defeated ork (maybe Ghazghull?) or something and looking like hes about ready to punch his klaw into it to finish it off.

WAAAHG!!! until further notice

I agree with TAZZ. The model is amazing, don't get me wrong, although it seems like the model dosn't have much life (if you know what i mean).
A defeated ork is a nice Idea.
I could amagine that he his yelling, CHARGE!! to his fellow guardsmen. You could have cadians charging from behind him as if they are following his order.
One last thing that would make this model WAY better would be to add a little more life to the basing a well, maybe something more than a rock. Ammo, barbed wire, corpses, blood, bushes, grass, sand, metal plates, ruined building ect.
Other than that the model itself and the paintjob is completely spectacular.
A++

If that's just your test model, your "real" entry should be amazing! You might want to do something with the base rim though. Although I am always happy with a black base rim, it doesn't work quite as well for this piece.

That looks utterly amazing. Gorgeous work.
Why do golden deamons always have the gigantically tall bases though? Seems sort of ridiculous to me.

Thanks guys for the feed bck . To answer a few question yes i will be putting the nxt model on a more dramatic base with a defeated ork or tau .. This one was just to see if i could pull off the nmm work. I have no expectaiton of winning golden daemon as i have only been painting for 18months so i know i need many more years of practice yet before coming even close to that but thank you all so much for your feed bck it real does help me progress in my painting and points out where i need to improve .. so thanks again really helps

The only bad comment I would make was about the red - it all looks the same despite the different materials it's on.
Maybe try some glazes to change the tones.
I would add a red glaze to the hat to richen the colour & make it less orange.

Ohterwise bloody brilliant. I especially like the highlighting on the black trenchcoat.
Good luck!

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

The paint job is fantastic but I think the klaw needs paint chips and wear some oil on the ram head (part of the rod that does not go in the piston housing) things like that.
