Hi, I know it isn't the best idea to be thinking about a conversion yet as I've hardly got any models but here goes
Ok, think about a great warboss, much larger in stature than thraka, around the size of a demon prince. He has survived for millenia, gone unnoticed until now, so to make more of an impact when he emerges. A powerfist on each arm, huge boots with energy coarsing through them (lines like on tron suits), his stomach is exposed, huge armour covers his chest. In one powerfisted (lol) hand he carries a huge sci-fi-y sword, in the other, the biggest shooty you've ever sene! so any opinions on my idea and how it would work?

How would a boss bigger than Thraka go unnoticed? Orks only get bigger when they fight. Use a Daemon Prince model as the basis of the conversion, the rest should come fairly naturally.

You'd have to either take a Deamon Prince model and do some serious converting or you sculpt the model. Either way thats one very big ork

anyway, how big is a daemon prince? I know their big but I need a comparison...

Theres a guy sculpting his own on here, i cant remember the name of the blog but it looks pretty good so far, maybe ask him for some pointers.

Its a great concept mate and I reckon you could have a lot of fun making it, but I just don't know if its believable that an Ork that large would go unnoticed for that long. Aside from that one thing, its cool, and even with that one thing included, its still cool! Keep us updated on your progress man.

Only problem is that if I don't know the name of the blog how am I supposed to find it?

Got an Idea! I buy a grey knight dreadknight use gs to flesh out some parts, orkify it a bit and BAM! I got my warboss!

Or maybe he was part of a planetary invasion that left him behind after they were defeated. He ended up living in some cave on his own and living off livestock like some sort of troll or giant. When they people of the backwards province he was terrorizing found out about him, they launched an assault on him, and he just kept fighting and fighting the inhabitants of this place until he got bigger and bigger. By the time the Orks retuned, he was huge, fearing a takeover, the Ork Warboss tried to fight him, and lost, and he's been fighting his way up the ranks of some ramshackle WAAAGH for years, unnoticed by greated WAAGH's because they;re so far out maybe.

Reading back, thats pretty rubbish, and the Daemon idea is cooler, but you might want to lift some bits from it.

Remember though man, it doesn't HAVE to fit in with the canon. If you think it will be awesome, go nuts!

I have an Incredible Hulk figure at home and wanted to use this to KONVERT into a massively big Ork. Go for it! You can use the stats for a Dreadnaught I would think. Or make up your own rules and ask opponent permission to try them out.

He could be the only Ork on a 'nid and demon infested space hulk. In the end, he'd be the only ork on an empty space hulk.

Um...whats a space hulk?

It's a bunch of spaceships and asteroids fused together in a giant lump of metal and rock, floating around aimlessly in the warp, only re-entering real-space, for anything from a few minutes to several years, once a few centuries.

Get some deff dread bitz from a bit shop online, for armor pieces. For a massive bulked out body, I have no idea beyond the suggestion of a Deamon Prince already stated by someone else.

I'm starting an Ork army soon and I too like the idea of a colossal Warboss. To me it's just one of those unit types that has loads of conversion opportunities (on second thoughts, I suppose that applies to all Orks). Anyway, I plan to convert my Warboss from this guy.

As far as I know his head is only about a head higher than the Black Reach warboss, but I think he should still turn out looking pretty hefty.
