Hi!

This is my first time posting in this forum so bear with me as I learn!

I had an idea for mordrak and his retinue. I'm here cause I wanted someone elses opinion. I started with basic grey knight terminators ,3 bases from the citadel basing kit(not attached). I was thinking of painting the zombie terminators a little nurgley! Some rust and tarnished armor. I am not the greatest painter so if anyone has any tips on how to put these guys on the bases (pinning?) or anything let me know.

Here's an update: added some stuff to mordrak and built the three zombie terminators. I think mordrak still needs something.

They're not zombies.

All seriousness, they're not really going to be like you'd think they would be.

They're ghosts. It's why they're called "Ghost Knights". Having them covered in rust and tarnish, with exposed and decayed flesh is kind of silly.

Is Ghost knights the title or are they ghosts? Because I don't think they would be rotting if they were Ghosts, shouldn't they be 'Ghouls' instead.

They are actually ghosts. They're the spirits of Mordrak's slain brothers, who manifest by his side when he goes to battle.

So shouldn't they instead be just normal Grey Knights but in shades of green like the Army of the Dead from Lord of the Rings? Seems to suit the Ghost thing a bit more.

Ghost are sometimes portrayed as rotting. See LotR's Army of the Dead. And various ghost films.

Doomthumbs did paint some ghost marines which glow in the dark, so if you can wade through about 30 pages of filth, then you can see how he does it

It would be cool to cast the grey knights in clear resin to make ghosts. Beyond my abilities though.

Well done. That totally sells the "ghost" concept to me.

When I first posted them everyone was like WAT!!! grab your torches and pitchforks this one thinks outside the box! lol Glad someone likes it!
