Wow... Dakka kinda sucks. I had written out a long explanation of this, but then I went to post pictures and it sent me back to the main page and erased my whole post.
Bottom Line:
This is a scratch built Reaver Titan.
I took the parts of the Mars and Lucius that I liked and combined them. I call it a Marauder pattern.
It stands approximately 19" tall, and will be 22" tall when it has the rocket launcher on it. This is about 3" taller than the Forgeworld one, which I honestly kind of like.
It's not done (for you mouth-breathers out there who will ask me this question.) I still have to finish the top armor, build the rocket launcher, put on the weapons shields, and do a LOT of detailing in plasticard and GW building/vehicle parts.
It has a sound system with which to play its war-horn to challenge other engines, and then to play sweet tunes like "Hells Bells" and "Hey There, Delilah Girl".

Oh cool! is that pvc pipe I see? Awesome! what is your basic material? It looks like you abused the Home Depot plumbing section I guess there is a large amount of polystyrene too?

Thats looking wicked sick as it is mate. What are the ankle joints made out of? I saw them and thought they were eggs at first although I'd imagine that eggs wouldnt give the best suspension.

Hah, I guess they do look like brown eggs from the pictures. The ball-joints on the ankles are just wooden balls that I got from a local craft store. I think they're a little over 1" in diameter.
I'm pretty sure that Lowe's had to do a re-stock on most of its plumbing department after I went through. My wife was there pointing to things and saying "Ooh, that would be a good hip joint, don't you think?", so we'd buy it. I didn't end up using about half of it, but some off it will work well for the Warlord .
The base material is actually foam-core, which I have never really liked until now. Using it with this has been great though, because you can cut angles into the inner side of it and bend it without having any seams. The frame is mostly PVC, with the upper body being a mix of plasticard and foam core. The weapons are a mash-up of plumbing bits, plasticard, GW bitz, and foam core. The only thing I would change is that the Gatling Blaster's barrels are made from copper tube, and if I could find a plasticard tube of the same diameter I would rather do that because the damn thing is pretty heavy (comparatively).
I'm glad everyone likes it. When it's all done it should have running lights, a sweet sound system, and a base to make it go with my Warhound and Knights.

Edit: One other thing I regret is not doing templates for everything that I built. It would have made it infinitely easier to replicate it for a second titan.

I knew it! Meh, you can use the rest of it for terrain or something else. You don't worry about using foamcore? I've known it to warp over time, not that I've scratchbuilt anything like this, but you know. Personally, I think you would be better off using plastic 'for sale' signs or something like that.

Well, the foam core is all pretty well reinforced, and none of it is really weight-bearing. All the big stuff is plasicard or PVC. I think it'll work. If not, then I'll build another one and use this one as a wrecked titan terrain piece.

Are you using Internet Explorer? Both Chrome and Firefox are pretty good about allowing you to hit the back button and saving whatever is there. IE is substantially less good about this.

I gave up on Internet Explorer, so now I'm using Safari. I should probably go to Firefox. That seems to be the best option all around.

As for the Waaagh, well, I really really really want to build a Looted Warlord (or "Warboss" Titan). The backstory would be that it was looted after the famous "Wazdakka Gutsmek jumping his Kustom bike on fire through the head of a Warlord Titan" incident.

I finished up the actual building today. This picture was taken before I put on the weapon shields. Now all I have to do is build the rocket pod and do a LOT of detail work.

Wow! Original post insulting the forums and insulting people right out of the gate... I love it!!!

19-22", eh? I'm firmly rooted in the "that's way too tall for a ______ titan" camp. That's the size of a Warlord Titan. Having said that, though, I am notorious for scale creep. Buildings, my Gargant, whatever. It always ends up bigger than I planned. Whatever the "correct" size of Titans are, your workmanship is not compromised at all. Seeing this progress will be cool.

That might be too big for an Armorcast titan, but the Forgeworld Reaver is 16" tall without the missile pod. 3" is not enough difference for me to worry about. Also, a Warlord is, by every scale that I've seen, 24" at the very least, with an average height of around 27". The really good ones have all been in the 30" and above range. For example:

You are absolutely correct. I was thinking Warhound size of 12" for some reason. Disregard my comments on the size!

As for the Warlords 27-30", that's where I take objections. Qualifying the sizes by the workmanship is hardly a reliable metric. Just because the "really good ones have all been in the 30" and above range" doesn't mean that 30" and above is the correct size. But, hey! This isn't the right post for this discussion anyway.

Still, it's a great looking Reaver-in-progress. Can't wait to see more!

Today I started the detailing. It's coming along well, and I'm really happy with how the different thicknesses of plasticard are working with it. The lit-up cockpit is much cooler through the clear plastic. This detailing process is taking a lot less time than I had imagined, so this thing might be done by the end of the week. Then I just need to come up with a name...

In regards to Titan size-creep, well, I feel like anything under 30" is still practical. Once you start getting over that, though, it becomes really hard to transport the things. That was a big concern with this one. I didn't want anything so big that it would weaken the structure, so I had to be very careful with it. However, to get the legs the thickness that I felt they needed to be and still have the right proportions, this was as short as I could make it. I could have gone with the stumpier legs that the FW Epic Lucius Pattern Reaver has, but as my wife pointed out, it looks like it would just waddle across the battlefield, and I wanted it to look like it could stride, the way the big FW Reaver looks like it can. So in summary on that topic, I'm happy with the height on it. It doesn't look out of place standing next to the FW one, they just look like different variants of the Reaver titan. It's just that one of them costs about $700 less than the other.

I've been working pretty steadily on it, but I haven't been taking good pictures until today. The construction is done now, so it's on to the painting! After that I'll get started on the basing, which should be lots of fun. The final height is 21.5", which is 2.5" taller than the FW. However, my missile pod opens up to fit my iPod inside so that it can hook up to a sound system inside the titan.
