Loving it so far, but the real question is are you going to paint all your boyz to this standard?

If so, you must have the patience of a god xD

The base is kinda ok. Don't really like it personally. But what I do like is the shade of green you got.. How did you make that? (And I don't care if it takes long.. painting all my orks in high quality anyway..)

Yea Snarky the lot will be painted like that... or better, may take some time.

Deefect, the base doesnt seem to come across too well in pics, its mud and stone. varying between bases with dry and wet mud.

Anyway to the skin its....

Undercoated black
2:1 Catachan Green/Scorched brown
Catachan green hightlight
2:1 Catachan green/Goblin green
1:1 Catachan green/Camo green highlights
Camo green highlights on the top of muscles
then finally 1:1 Camo green and Sunburst yellow on the highest of high. sometimes with pure Sunburst on certain bits of lips, knuckles etc.

Very nice. Love the skin, love the metal.

Great way to do the skin. A whole Ork army to this quality will look fantastic!

nice like his hair fading!

How many Space Marines does it take to screw in a lightbulb.

6, 1 techpriest and 5 tacticals that stand around trying to pose like badasses.

An Ork, Space Marine and Eldar are walking down the road. They see a Chaos portal that has a sign on it. It says: 'say what is true or be sucked in'. The Space Marine says: "I think I'm the bravest" and walks past safely, the Eldar says: "I think I'm the most agile" and walks past safely. The Ork says: "Me thinks..." and gets sucked into the portal.

Great job overall. The base definitely looks like a chunk of rock sticking out of the mud, but I think maybe the whole thing looks too...same. Perhaps a more distinct rock-like colour to the rock would help it stand out against the mud, rather than it all being the same brown.

Agree on the skin, very nice color!

I settled on the "nuclear ooze green" (scorpion green) for my boyz, just because I could use it straight out of the bottle. I'm not entirely happy but its table top quality which is what I wanted.

If you manage to paint the whole mob with this quality I would love to see the finished product. Keep it up!
