I wonder how Orks had learned human language so quickly. Maybe there were the humans who taught them?
And if the Orks don't have genders, why they call themselves "Boyz"? Because many of the human soldiers are males? And if the Orks have seen only SoB in their lives, would they call themselves "Girlz?"

Orks speak Orky. it sounds like english but it isn't lol. Yarrick said during his time as ork captive on golgotha he managed to learn the ork language.
the reason they call themselfs boyz is because they're behaviour is like that to gangs (ok get the boys here and we'll do the old folk in) that sort of thing.
and no they have a name for female humans which applies for SoB's - Twiggies lol

Orkish or Orky is definitely a different language than a "Pig Gothic" commonly used by the Orks. It's made of groans and hits.

They definitely can't speak gothic. It would be coincidence of epic proportions if it was just a crude version of it, but it isn't . They talk like they do as a tongue in cheek way of making them sound primitive when they're talking with each other.

Well Humans are in the galaxy for quite some time ( M25 to present 41'st millennium = around 16.000 years ). That's more then enough time for everyone to learn Human language...
And Orks don't know what gender is so they really don't know when they say "boyz" that's for male counterparts.

Orks could all be male, besides just because your species doesn't have a gender doesn't mean you don't understand what a gender is.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Orks don't have a gender. They, as a single species, are fungus. The fact that they are similar to humanoid males is a whatever reason.

This might not be canon, but I always considered that orks believed that whatever they spoke, the other races understood them, so they could speak practically any language if they thought they could.

Ork blood is full of fungal spores so if an ork bleeds or dies, more will grow in the soil in that area.

In Fifteen Hours they made a point of decapitating dead Orks, as they had a tendency to not be completely dead. Then they torched them with flamers to take care of the spores. Because of their ability to molt spores, the Orks are not only an invasion force, but a full-on hostile ecosystem, composed of Squig, Gretchin, Snotlings, Orks, and the fungi upon which they sustain themselves. As to where the Orks learned Gothic, it's a little known fact that in early M32 the Orks captured the Forgeworld Oratio Omnimodus, whose sole export was Rosetta Stone: Gothic. The rest is history...

The english/gothic speaking orks are purely for the readers/viewers benefit. Actual ork language is described as a series of guttural barks and blows to the head to get your point across.
Only a few smart ass orks can actually speak gothic.

Eldar speak Eldarin with each other, so do the Tau. GW even give the actual Tau and Eldar words. In this case English is really representative. But I doubt that they speak their native languages when talking to humans.
Servants of Chaos are the same humans, but under control of the Dark Gods, so they simply can speak human language. And Daemons are incredibly smart creatures which are able to speak any language they want.
As for the Orks, I think Orks such as Ghazghkull or Gorgutz can speak Gothic. Because humans understand them.

Pig gothic? I wonder what a boy would do to a warlord to get his point across? I can't see a boy giving a boss a soft blow to the head without complaint.
That's my attempt at humour. I'm sure even the Warlord would be fine with it. My spell check is American, hmmm. Can't spell humour.
It never really occurred to me that orks would speak anything other than High Gothic. Hmm, interesting. I wonder what an ork would do if he had to have a long conversation over a vox?
