I'll put up my "Codex" here which has pictures of some finished models. I'll add a few more painted pics every now and again. I apologise, my painting is nothing to crow about, but I do enjoy reposing IG figures.

I also like messing with terrain stuff. I did most of this lot though the gun emplacement and the stuuf to the right of the road is by my old mucker Andy (Old Guard)

Cool stuff. A lot of good conversions, I love the armored cars and the command chimera bunker.

Wow, just wow. The amount of painted minis (I spot a lot of stuff from forgeworld, some not even available anymore I think) is impressive. It makes my small IG force look like I haven't even worked on them xD

Cheers guys. Yes there are a couple of FW pieces on there and they do feature in my army. Most of that with the exception of the Planes, powerlifter, gun emplacement and square fuel is scratched or converted. The Tents and container units are by me, as is the HESCO stuff etc. You can see how a lot of the scenery is made here...

The air mobile control tower and the commaand vehicle featured on our Crazy 88 gamesday table a few years back.

This years gamesday board is based on a necron ship. Seen here, a Drogan retrieval unit, set to feature on the board amoung work by others of the AB.





And these are my winter Drogans, yet to find their way into the Codex.

Damn. Words fail to describe how amazing this is, to fully capture the passion that you Must have for these guys to do all this story writing, converting, and painting in general. It boggles the mind, but in the best way possible

Wow, these are exquisitely done; definitely looks like a highly-trained specialist force.

The tents look fantastic, as do the vehicle conversions. The scratch-builds in particular; sometimes scratchbuilds or conversions from other models don't seem properly 40K, but you nailed the aesthetic perfectly.

Words cannot describe how epic this is. I have never ever seen someone make an actual IG base before complete with Navy Support and all that other jazz.

Cheers guys. Glad you like it. One thing I really think helps to motivate ANY modeller / army builder is to write your own fluff and try to "live" within it. If you can then theme your scenery and conversions to suit, even better. If you checked my link, you'll notice for me, it's very important to try and maximise the number of poses available from the infantry. I HATE having two figures with the same pose. What that did as well, was to give me time to develop them. If I was a speed painter or just interested in hitting the table with a quick army, I wouldn't obviously get so involved.

To be fair, I did get a lot of help with the writing and dtp of the Codex from my mate Doghouse who helped me develop a lot of the fluff around my core ideas. I do write a few short stories for them (some of which appear) and some do now need incorporating, including stuff for the 23rd Voltigeurs (winterised).

Wow! I'd love to play a game on that table! Your care and attention to detail are amezin'! I love finding others with this much love for this hobby!

Just wow! I'd be here forever if I went through everything I like but your table looks amazing and I love the commando knifing the ork.

One question though... what did you use for shells on the FW earthshaker emplacement diorama? I've been looking all over for something suitable and in plentiful supply! (are they real life .22LR cases perchance?)

It's the cap on the Catachan / Cadian command sprue (not sure which but has a radio unit at it's side and a visor under. This is spliced to the top of a FW respirator head.

First post here from me ( lurk every once in a while) but since my Cadian battlegroup are often to be found allied to the mighty Drogan war machine, and the odd question has been asked about some of my contribution Digits has asked me to respond.
The earthshaker or to be precise, Airshaker is mine, there are actually 3 of them now, I've built a couple more. The Shells? well the unfired ones are part of the FW gun emplacement. The ones being loaded are the mortar rounds from the old metal IG range, cadians in this case and the spent cases are plastic tube.
A few other pieces of mine here are the command tent and some of the vehicles, the 3 coloured green, brown, black and the recovery vehicle notably.
Any other question please feel free to ask But since i'm here now I'll start my own thread to show off some of the stuff here rather than hijack Digit's

Nice to see your Drogans on Dakka, Digits. Followed the thread on Ammobunker for the longest!

Also, welcome to both you and Old Guard. Definitely need to find the time to visit AB again.

The codex is amazing stuff, really like the army as well, brilliant and executed with a lot of passion for the Guard here methinks.

Hope this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes tp pics of the army. I can see lots of good looking stuff dotted around in those army shots, really hope you get some close ups of them.

Your board is great. Reminds me of Iraq. I love the Hesco barriers and Connex's. The command tent is pretty sweet too. I like how the whole board feels like a diorama. Keep up the great work!
