Afer taking a picture of my marines at the weekend for showing on a thread on Warseer, I though ti'd post it up here aswell to show people what addicitons can lead to and how it can end up

I know my painting isn't expert leve but every marine is painted with all details done with some highlighting, which i did purely so this project could be done in a timely manner. Otherwise i'd never get it completed.

Below are pictures of my marines to date. technically their ultramarines but i've dubbed them the Unifiers as they fight like every codex needs. That and I have a Battle Company for each codex.

1st company is Terminators (As i'm close to 70 termies they get their own company)
2nd company is Veteran marines (All my 1st company in PA as have too many to be included with termies as there are over 110 of them alone)
3rd Company is Space wolves mixed
4th company is Codex marines battle company
5th company is Blood angels DOA
6th company is black templars
7th company is speeders and bikers
8th company is Grey knights
9th company is the overflow from the other companies as some have over 100 models + 30 Deathwatch veterans of the chapter who i forgot for the pic
10th company is about 70 scouts.

So about 930 models, maybe more, still 5 TH/SS termies 10 marines to paint.

included in the pic is the armoury where there is atleast 3 of all the vehicles bar thunderfires as i loathe the models enough not to get another.

That is impressive. I would have lost my mind painting that many guys a quarter the way through. It is a sea of Blue Marines.

I can and have. It's not that effective if that's all you take for your army.

cheers guys, to scare you all this was painted in just over a year along side my guard army (which has also grown to a large size without me realising, i think i've built it to apoc worthy too) while still socalising and having a fiancé and now wife during this whoe thing who didn't complain once! so its doable if you troll ebay etc and get bargains for models.

The modela all have trims, details eyes and such done, shoulder guards and eagles etc all shaded, so its not a single colour, few details and move on, the pic was taken a fair bit back which is why it seems all blue.

Wow, a lot more detail than I had expected. And ah, Thunderwolves! I was wondering what those speeder-bike-looking things were.

Also, love the Guilliman. Where did that model come from?

Gulliman was from ebay, i can't remember who it was but he came with options for bolter and power sword, or the twin fists (The sword is one used on the chapter champion guy. its massive...

TWC were built with star wars swoop bikers, so it was dirt cheap to make the pack

I'm not that good a painter, and I only do it as a means to field painted armies. its nice to get the squads done so I can play with them but i'd rather play games than paint.

I myself would like to have the complete Salamanders Chapter, which would end up like this:
- 120 Veterans
- 330 Tactical Marines
- 210 Devastator Marines
- 20 Assault Marines
- 60 Scouts
- All the vehicles

So really, I would have an easier time then you did with only 660 Marines

That is one heck of a collection...
How long have you been collecting and how much money did you spend to get all this?
