I have only started playing warhammer for a few months and as I have split a box of AoBR with a friend I have been given the ork side which is great as it seems that you can always get these AoBR minis dirt cheep So I thought I would have a go at converting a few. please note that these are my first miniatures and the first time I have used green stuff but just wanted to share a way for ork player to get some cheap units together the nob with PK and BP cost $4.00 Au and the loota (converted from the big shoota boy as I don't use them, too busy running to stop and shoot LOL) $3.50 this included the price of the AoBR and the bits to put on them.

very nicely done conversions, a fine use of the AOBR set, now just have a few dozen more to go

and before the inevitable input....drill out yer barrels! makes the warboss happy!

again nicely done, now slap some paint on the boyz...

not real conversions but have added these guys to the army they were ready for basing but I thought i would take your advice and make the war boss happy by drilling out the barrels
I was surprised how much better they looked drilled now I just need to base them

well cos my friend really wanted the space marines but they have really grown on me. I love how reckless and chaotic they are as well as the way they look and the amount of conversion type stuff people can do with then

this is my first army and I haven't played any others so I will be sticking with them for a while to get the feel of the game.

Finally they are just good fun and you don't have to take em too seriously

I really do think that the gun barrels look a million times better with a hole in them

They do look really good.

Here's some progress on the boyz I now have two mobs of 20 painted I have done 1 mob with red bases the other with blue I did all the trims and armbands blue to start with but they looked like different army's so I painted over them with red to make it all look a little more consistent. I have also finished basing 5 standard nobs from AoBR as well as the cutting and gluing part of the Nob conversions to give the AoBR Nobs a PK and BP

thanks all I want them colour coded as I am running a green tide ( Cheap models ) so it should make them easy to see who's with who if the table get crowded

and I had a quiet night in so I spent it painting my war boss so now I can field a legal HQ and to troupes yay

Looks great so far mate! How did you get the dirty look to your models? They look like they've been trudging around on dusty battlefield for a long time Mine are quite cartoony by comparison.

That is a good looking warboss, i really like the purple hair on the pole.
