I call em the Storm Eagles.... hey, with all the typhoons, tornado's, whirlwinds and whatnot flying around the spoof marine codex I had to stick with it. Nevermind the abundance of overfed budgies, and thus was born the Storm Eagles!!!! Besides, it sounds kinda cool too... I couldn't paint em that monotone blue, so sorry, I had to try something else. Heresy I believe.
Up first, not great pic quality though... Oh captain my captain... Haven't based the sucker yet.

Wow, these are awesome bro. Only thing I can find wrong, and that I had toi look pretty hard to notice, is that in some places the paint is a little thick. But that may just be my poor eyesight. I also think the captain's bolter could have more detail, so it is as good as the rest of the model>
Keep up the good work!

I love the ancient sort of look on the servitors and master of the forge done by the rusting.

Uh, looks good. How are they a spoof? Not painting blue is heresy? I'm confused.

I'm no good with flags, so I'll just assume the OP is not a native speaker and a pun was lost in translation. Models are rather nice, though, I agree.

That storm lords lot was the only colour scheme I saw that I actually liked. I call em spoof marines because they're not really storm lords, and I don't really like the models, barring the scouts, very much at all. Though after a year of it they are kinda growing on me. I had enough of 8th ed fantasy and decided to try 40k for a bit. So these guys aren't really my first choice, but they are the guys most supported by GW so I'm kind of obliged to have them.
I decided on my guys that they stay on a system of planets where iron does not exist, there is an abundance of copper and tin and one other alien metal which combines well with them to make a type of high tensile bronze. Hence my metal colour scheme. I cannot stand the boltgun metal colour, so it had to change.
Thanks for the comments guys. I hope to finish the army towards the end of next year.
