Well, as far as I was aware there was only the one without Jump Packs and that's what I had my eye on. Given it was one of the images used in the Open day preview I figured it might be available on the day and therefore be on track for imminent general release. Guess I'll just have to a wait a few weeks. Thanks for the info.
There is a squad without jump pa ks (which were available yesterday), and a second squad with jump packs and different torso armour that were on display next to Will Hayes, shown below:

I seem to recall in older fluff that jump packs were rather uncommon during the Heresy and Great Crusade (hence why Chaos doesn't have them, and rely on semi-daemonic Raptors), but it seems an awful lot of the HH models have them.
Just a minor quibble.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

i disagree...
there didn't seem to be any shortage of assault troops with jump packs in Space Marine (the original epic scale version), or it's rulebook art...
that was the original source of most Horus Heresy fiction...
plus, while Raptors may be Semi-demonic, they still have jump packs, so Chaos actually does have them...
either way, this is one of the coolest versions of mkIV i've ever seen...
those helms are awesome...

Hi there,
Following its successful debut at the Forge World Open Day, the new Imperial Armour Volume Twelve: The Fall of Orpheus book is now available to pre-order. As well as this, we’ve also got details in this week’s newsletter of the new Forge World catalogue and a reminder of our forthcoming events.
Imperial Armour Volume Twelve: The Fall of Orpheus
On the edge of the Segmentum Tempestus, the Orpheus Sector has stood as a bulwark against the outer darkness for millennia. Forged in war and preserved by the blood of the Imperium’s soldiers, it has stood against the privations of the Orks from without and the treachery of the Ruinous Powers from within, but now a new terror has risen that is beyond anything it has faced before.
From their cold tombs beneath forbidden and dead worlds rise the Necrons of the ancient Maynarkh Dynasty. Tainted by madness and abominable hunger, undying warrior-legions and the fearsome war engines of a lost age strike without warning, seeking to exterminate the humans that now infest their former domains. Hundreds of worlds have fallen already, billions lie dead, and the fate of the sector hangs in the balance, but the Imperium has not been slow to react. The Space Marines of the Minotaurs Chapter and the relentless armies of the Death Korps of Krieg stand ready to defend the sector, but can even these forces hold before the nightmare that has come to Orpheus?
Imperial Armour Volume Twelve: The Fall of Orpheus, written by Alan Bligh, is a mighty 232-page, full colour tome, packed with lavish maps, colour profiles and photographs. The horrors of the Orphean War are recounted in detail, alongside a new variant Necron army list – the Dark Harvest – which represents the tainted Maynarkh Dynasty, and full rules for new Necron units such as the Night Shroud Bomber, the Canoptek Acanthrites and the mighty Tomb Citadel.
The book also contains a new Death Korps of Krieg army list – the Assault Brigade – updated background, units and characters for the Minotaurs Space Marine Chapter, as well as rules for numerous Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine units such as the Spartan, the Predator Infernus and the Damocles Rhino.
Imperial Armour Volume Twelve: The Fall of Orpheus is available to pre-order now, for despatch from Friday 3rd May. Our YouTube channel contains an interview with Alan Bligh, in which he discusses the contents of the new book. We will also have copies available on our sales stands at Salute in London and AdeptiCon in Chicago.
New Forge World Catalogue Now Available
The 2013 Forge World catalogue is now ready to be sent out. So if you’d like a free copy, please send your name and postal address in an e-mail entitled ‘2013 Catalogue Request’ to forgeworld@gwplc.com. A pdf version of the catalogue is also available here.

Some close up photos of the new necrons and a couple of the rapier varients in the latest FW catalogue. Nothing really that hasnt been seen in the open day photos but its a nice browse if somewhat absent of prices.

Dark Harvest necron list..sounds like a return of the oldcrons style.
Also there was a rumor on Advanced Tau Tactica, that a update for IA:3 Taros Campiagn (with a full update of all the Tau units) may be going to the printers soon, as a member ha a Q&A with the forgeworld people at the show.
To much cool stuff and to little funds.

I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.
"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal |

In other news: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/downloads/product/pdf/f/FW_Cat_2013_Low_res.pdf Their catalogue has some of the new models in it. Looks like they are selling three different kind of Sentry Pylons, each with a different weapon. But the new HQ's and different troops don't have new models.. Weird, is that something they do often? Me neither, I am really going to save these 48GBP and use it to buy models instead. Also: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/AlternativeFW/xlarge/FW_IA12-108-109.jpg Seems like we have all the Kutlakh rules That guy is a bomb!

GW's paranoid policy of only announcing new products seconds before they are released (for fear we'll get board and wander off to stare at a wall or something... their reasoning has never had a lot of 'reason' to it) now applies to HH books. So you won't know what they are or when until they're just about to hit. Fun for the whole family.
Interesting...
I imagine it's 'to prevent evil 3rd parters pirating 'bitz' from HH book descriptions before GW/forgeworld can produce them.
I wonder if it will affect sales of the books though, or favorable reviews getting word of mouth out in time for the book to still be on the shelves of bookshops before they hit the clearance or get returned. The books have been drawing in new gamers from what I understand or reigniting interest in previous gamers to come back. Also we've seen BL authors become New York Times bestsellers.
This seems to be likely to dent that.

Wow, I was impressed with the models before. Now I simply must have them ASAP. The MKIV Legion Assault armor plus the new helmets and jump pack and a missile launcher is too good to pass up. They didn't happen to mention a release date did they? That would be asking too much I suppose.

And still FW continues its overly long marriage vow to MkIV armour.
HH or not, the ratio of MkIV (and all its variants) to other SM PA Mk? releases is heavily unbalanced.
That said, heavy weapons + jump packs is awesome, it's just too bad that we'll only see them in MkIV or MkV if we're lucky.

I've posted a pic of the jump pack version of the unit (which has different torsos) earlier in this thread, IdentifyZero - according to Will Hayes they will be out later this year.
And he also confirmed the heavy weapon was the Missile Launcher with Rad Missiles and Suspensor Web.

So does the non-jump pack version have the regular MKIV torso opposed to the up-armored and studded version the Assault/Jump Pack version gets? That seems to be the standard difference for the Legion MKIV Armour variants. I also read that there were limited numbers of Destroyer Squads without jump packs for sale at the event correct? So hopefully there is a chance that those attending Adepticon may be able to get their hands on some of the Destroyer Squads and more importantly the variant helmet and Rad Missile Launcher that make up the squad? I'll be calling FW today to check on that myself. I'm so excited I can barely contain it.
