"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.
Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen
I like the necron list. not spammin the scarabs like everyone else. The eldar list is kinda wierd, but I can't say anything because i have yet to make a good 1750 list. its a wierd points level. I love that someone else is using banshees besides me. Its a nice battle report, wouldn't mind the music being a little more quiet but all in all keep up the good work man. nice game.
Thanks. I also just discovered that the stormlord doesn't have a power weapon. Sadnessed

I agree, I saw nothing wrong with the Necron list. I think it's way too easy to pigeon hole an army and say it needs to take "this" in 5th. Lets hope the rumors are real in 6th and this all changes.
Edit:
No offense meant about Zids comment. I know exactly what you mean and where you come from, just tired of the same old meta.

Definitely an interesting report. I expected a completely different result from the list description, and I think the Eldar could have done things slightly differently to adjust the outcome a bit. The Seer Council could use an Autarch with a Lance to give it some actual punch in combat (it might have turned that assault the other way) and I think splitting the Bikes into two units and holding them in reserve would have also given them an edge. Dice certainly had a big impact but I might have also prioritized my targets a bit differently. The Wraiths were a huge threat, as were the barges, so I think I would have focused on them first. As the most reliably mobile aspect of the Necron list they played a huge role in securing the win.
"Duty is heavier than a mountain, death lighter than a feather."
I think I should have run it like I always do, overloading one side with all of my force as far away from his fire base as possible. I should've kept my bikes in reserve tho.
I simply ran out of points to add an Autarch, Eldar are expensive to run. That being said, the Seer squad wasn't really supposed to get into combat, its just used as a mobile buff for my army. I only assaulted them because every single gun in my eldar army ended up being out of range of the barges and I wanted them dead.
That being said not being able to roll over 16'' inches for spotting distance the entire game really hurt. It forced my to get into rapid fire range if I wanted to do any damage which is bad for vehicles.
If I'd kept my army together I may have had a better result, but no amount of keeping my army together is going to get over the fact that I hit a squad with a fire prism four times and they ended the game at roughly 60% strenght. haha
