It may be because the slot on the arm is too small for the peg on the main body. I've had this problem before. Easily rectified with a hobby knife (be careful to not rout it out too much, though).

That's a pretty cool dollhouse table, and the other things like the drink can look nice and accurately sized as well.
Why won't the arm fit on the dread?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

This is a half scale dreadnought built buy the staff of Marquee Models (Harlow, UK), It has been in storage for a while and has quite a bit of water damage.
I have been asked to "renovate" him.
@ Deathshead420: yeah I want to add a Storm bolter to it and I'm also thinking about having a lit interior so you can veiw a marine through the vision slit.
Edit: Just cleaned up the water damage and washed the dirt and dust off...

Add a sound board with the voice from the Dawn of War dread. "I have awoken". "At your command". "Even in death I still serve".
Real smoke coming from the engine vents would be nice.
How about a rotating assualt cannon barrel? I have seen them on 40k scale dreads.
Have to have some kind of light source for the eye vent.
Just a few suggestions.

Ya know...if you were to show these picys to the GW folks, along with your renovation plan and the stores plan to use the thing in a sales campaign; then asked them (in a sweet innocent voice) what would be a good color scheme to repaint the Dreadnought in so the project could be included in the planned 6th edition boxed release (Battle of Macragge; Assault on Black Reach)...
Well you know, the internets would just LOVE to have that little tidbit of info.

Also add some sound effects for the gun when the barrel rotates.

Thanks. But I was thinking of gun fire sounds while it rotates.
If there is a way to make it remote control it would be awsome.

I'd wager a strip of Plasticard on one side, and 6-12 nails placed in it's spinning path on the other, should produce a nice sound.
The number of applications for "baseball card in bicycle spokes" never ceases to amaze me.
