Hi there Dakka!

A new hobby store has just opened in my area, I thought it was high time I got back into this gaming lark properly! So after clearing out ALL their Ork stuff, I am now a proud owner of:

4 x Trukks
4 x Nob boxes
1 x Boyz box
4 x Gretchin boxes
1 x Black Orcs box
3 x Savage Orcs boxes
1 x Finecost Warboss
1 x Old metal Savage Orc command blister

I set towards my goal of a 1000pts force by the time the East Vs West Warhammer 40k tournament at Warhammer World comes around in May. I plan to use the Nobz as Nobz and the Grotz as Grotz (obviously). The Trukks will be converted, and shaped to a mildly piratical theme (jolly rogers, crows nests, prows etc), with the Boyz box forming crew for them, representing weapons and suchlike. I plan to use the Savage Orcs to represent a Snakebite tribe which have been unducted into the force by da boss, simply "becoz der betta at shootin'!", and the Black Orcs will be converted into some sort of Meganob counts-as. Finally I plan to use the champion from the Savage Orc command as a standard Weirdboy. Simples!

So I started painting on Monday, and have aimed to get one mini painted from my first Nobz squad every day, and I plan to continue this way until the force is done. This number will increase to 3 or 5 depending on the minis I'm painting (eg. 3 shoota boyz, 5 Grotz) and I plan to update every few days. So for now, here are my first few models for the force, from Nob squad I!

C+C would be amazing! Should have another mini painted tomorrow, may update Monday or Tuesday!

All together now!

Day 1 - Monday. Orkbeard, complete with beard! Converted from a Ork Kommando Nob, simple head and arm swap.

[Thumb - DSCN1263.JPG]
Day 2 - Tuesday. Wurrzog, an Ork who has meddled in the affairs of The Changer Of Ways a little too much.Converted from an old metal Nob I found in my bitz box, extra arms from a Genestealer and a zombie. Also, a marine power fist.

Day 3 - Wednesday. Konun has been around since any of da Orks can remember. He prefers to do business the old way, none ov dis gun rubbish, just 'it it til it breaks! An old Black Orc model from my bitz box.

Day 4 - Thursday. Goffgul, the biggest of all the Orks in the klan. Not quite smart enough to realise that he could probably be Warboss if he tried... Converted from an Ogre Bull body from my bitz box! Looks a lot darker than in real life.

Day 5 - Friday. Gorgob. The first of the new Ork Nobz I built!

[Thumb - DSCN1257.JPG]
Day 6 - Saturday. Fingaz. Will steal anything that isn't welded down. And even some stuff that is. Weilding a "liberated" Bad Moon Trukk fairing, and wearing Black Legion shoulder pads as elbow pads. Second new Nob, really like this kit!

that just happened by accident from my bitz box, I saw someone do it to make meganobz one time, and commandeered (YAR) the idea. Thank you!

We have a small update today, almost finished the Nobz Waaagh Banner bearer, slightly different skintone...

And started on the Weirdboy, warpaint a-go-go!

And a little group shot!

Hope to get some more done this week. I have two shows with my band to contend with so progress may be slow.
