This is my first attempt with Thunder Wolf Cav. I always thought arctic theme was a must with space puppies. What do you think and what can I do better?

picture quality aint to great, but it seems that the models lack depth.

E.g. the purely white fur of the wolves. Change it up a bit, make them different colours, or at least not exactly alike.

My thoughs however, and other than that they look great!

I like them. I must say the bases are my favorite part.

Looking good man I really like the basing. Fuzzy pictures I say that as the pot calling the kettle black but some clear pictures always do the models more justice.

A little more colour variation through the wolves' fur would be good. Here are some exemplars of arctic wolves. You'll see they are rarely uniformly coloured but have some darker patches too.

Hope that helps.

I don't know man I had to start photographing outside because natural light is the only way my camera gets any decent pictures. I also have to carefully autofocus it. So try playing with the lighting and the focus options and distance of the model from the camera. I will scrounge around dakka and see if I can find a useful thread for you I'm sure I could us giving it a read.

I agree with pretty much every comment here. I think they look good, but they seem 80% done. I'd make the wolf fur a little darker on top and on the face etc. From a glance they kind of look like polar bears because of the solid fur color.

It will help the pop out from the snowy base, but still look like they blend in with their environment.

Quick background on the wolves for the calvary... They are not pack animals so they can be different colors markings etc. no pack means they mate with whomever and not within the pack so they will differ in colors patterns etc. I have not painted mine. I can tell you have color gradation on the white fur it's hard to see it though. What did you use on the bases ?
