Hi I've decided to start basing all my models and the model I'm doing it for first is an eldar jet bike.

I want it to look similar to this but I don't Know how. Any suggestions.

Get some slate and some textured modelling putty (or even just PVA and fine sane), paint up, add flock, profit!

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

don't you have to add a layer of glue over the top so it doesn't fall off?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

I use a much watered down pva glue over the top of sand layers before painting to give better hold. I've seen people who spray flock/static grass bases with clear varnish to improve how they wear, but I don't bother personally.

Check out necrotales (google it - on phone and can't copy url for you) for some good basing tutorials. Also search dakka for terraformer (think that is how his name is done) for some awesome tutorials on hill making that can be used for basing.
