Battlecult are proud to present Rampage Heat 2! Held at the Holiday Inn Central in Bristol, this is the seond of two heats in our Rampage GT series to be followed by a hotly contested final in October.

Full details can be found in the event rulespack and GT rulespack - tickets are priced at £30 for six games over two days, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Players' Choice Best Army and Best Sportsman as well as the chance to compete at the Rampage final.

There are 60 places available.If you check our Facebook you can see pictures from all of our events including the first heat of Rampage - take particular note of the terrain as we've made a huge push to have a variety of LoS blocking terrain available so don't expect to show up and shoot your way across planet bowling ball!

For those of you on a budget, we've struck a room deal with the hotel - room and B&B is just £70/room/night and we can offer a beer & burger or beer & curry option for £8/head. To claim the discounted rate ring the hotel and ask for Cindy. Players at former events have stayed at the hotel and tell us the rooms are very clean and modern and with an on-site gym the more conscientious of you can even keep up with the workout Although we can make no promises at time of posting we're also pushing hard to ensure you guys get some form of discount off the bar for both booze and tea/coffee as well as an evening meal should you want one.

On top of all that we've secured a deal with Cut and Thrust which means tournament attendees can get a massive 25% discount on any orders placed with the store beforehand and collected at the event - ring Alex on 01173 020 021 to sort out that spectacular deal.

We're also sponsored by KR Multicase who're offering a ton of prize support for our events - how much depends on player entry levels but we'll be sure to get in touch with them to get you guys some of their excellent swag. You can see the winners of heat 1 posing with their prizes here.

"KR - soft foam for figures, hard cases for soft foam!"

We look forward to seeing you!

yeah,
ArbitorIan and I attended heat 1 last weekend it was a blast.

The venue is great a nice big hall with plenty of space around each table.

The tables were nice had plenty of terrain, with a good mix of terrain types and all terrain was clearly defined.

++
We both brought new armies we had just finnished painting, ArbitorIan won half his games
Saddly I lost every game I played

I brought Dark Eldar

ArbitorIan brought Arbitors!

++
I played:
1st game - Spacewolfs --- I lost mostly because I messed up the rules, but probably wouldn't have won anyway.
2nd game - Eldar - I was outplayed and beaten fair and square!
3rd game - GreyKnights - draigo wing varient --- I gave it a go!
4th game - BloodAngels - all JumpPacks -- monster deathcompany squad tore me a new one.
5th game - SpaceWolfs - was winning in turn five - lost in turn six.
6h game - DarkAngels - DeathWing - reduced enemy to Belial and two terminators but Lost to kill points.

All great games with friendly opponents.

The Girls vs SpaceWolfs

Vs Eldar

vs Draigo wing (see the girls bounce from combat and flee the board!)

Some other Photos from the day

If you can attend heat 2 I suggest you give it a go.

That's an excellent write-up Panic, thanks for that! I'm glad you and Ian had a good time at the event and I enjoyed our game 6.

Ok, decision made -

We'll be sticking to 3 games each day - the other options seemed to be pretty worthless as for the people with the worst journeys it makes little material difference how late they leave on the Sunday and most people don't want to give up Saturday evening for the sake of playing another game in a day (plus it might be a bit brain-melting).

We'll be changing over to proper 1-0 scoring and adding the caveat that to win KPs you need to win by 3 clear points (which I somehow totally forgot when writing it the first time around).

Hope that clarifies things, I'll update the pack to reflect this as soon as possible.

Also for those of you from heat 1 we've finally mailed the trophies out - sorry for the delay!
