Well it would be finished if my pot of brown wash hadn't run out but I'm impatient and wanted to share it with you! Behold my mighty Tower of Destruction!

Basic idea was that the Sorcerer master of my Crimson Wing Chaos Force Crafted a Tower for himself from the remains of an ancient ruin and a mighty bastion.

Its more than likely to be me that kills it. I have Elbows of doom, killed 2 Stormravens and a deamon prince at my local gaming club so far lol!! I've actually glued a pile of coins under the base to provide more stability and the flyer base goes right up into the blue foam island!

That is insane! Not only is it just plain fantastic on a modeling and painting level, YOU MADE IF FREAKING FLY!

Bloody brilliant! I love the paint scheme, there's some serious work gone into that. It also looks more like it would actually fly than the new Stormtalon, lol

Please tell us that you are going to/have weighed the base down heavily, it just looks to top heavy/small based to remain upright for a whole game!

Its surprisingly sturdy! The whole thing is plastic and the island is blue foam so there's very little weight! Lots of pennies under the base!! lol

That is crazy! Looks awesome but I gotta ask two questions. 1) How do you transport it to games (other than lovingly haha) and 2) Wobbly model syndrome will seem to accompany this depending on the boards you play on.

BONUS QUESTION. Does this actually have some fun game rules you've made up?

Im curious as to what the rules are for this thing as well, can you post them, even if they're "in house?"

Awesome concept that leaves quite an impression, but I have a few minor quibbles with the build:

First, there's a rather visible seam between the foam sheets comprising the floating island. If you've got the paint for the necessary touchups, five minutes with a bit of putty/filler would clean that right up.

Second, while I love the general feel of the clockwork-cannon-looking-thing and the surrounding gubbins, a number of the bits are rather obviously just turned on their sides. Can't say it'd be worth the effort required to cover or right the offending details, but while a sideways arch or two can be overlooked easily enough, the skulls really jump out at me.

Again, though, it's an impressive and attractive piece, overall. Thanks for sharing!

Its been fun scavenging bits from lots of kits for it, from the upside down aquila's at the corners from imperial sectors to the flames and books in the parapet from flagellante's!

In response to Oadie, the line in the island represents the different layers of earth the tower has pulled itself out of. As for the sideways skulls the weapon is a cobbled together piece of technology and my Chaos force is always scavenging parts from other weapons to improve their own, so naturally some pieces wont always be the way they are intended. I personally think its adds to the messed up direction look of the whole thing, yet another "wrong way up" part! lol ^_^

Yeah but with 2 structure points and always obscured it will take a while! Besides, its the 6" obscure zone that surrounds it you gotta worry about, plenty of room for land raiders to park next to it! lol

True, but just the idea that a single very (very very) lucky Autocannon can down it in one turn makes me sad. But I guess that's true against pretty much anything huh?

The cover bubble is awesome though! I feel like a tower like that should get some more Dakka though! Plenty of the shots from the power Pink Horrors have would make it cooler if you ask me.
