Well, here I go... finally starting a WIP log for the engine of destruction that is WAAAGH!!! Skipphag! A largely Apoc level force, that has seen many days at the 1850 pt level.

To start with (or should I get into character? Tu staht wiv!)

IMHO, I believe that some forces are intended to be regimented - IG - and should therefore not have dramatically differing attire. Orkz on the other hand, should not have dramatically similar attire, as they scour the galaxy, plying their trade on the open market... Burning everything...
However, my Spannerz only have so many paint colours in their palettes... Everything must be at least partially Red!!!

And my Kan faktory likes American Football.

As an Apoc force, I have run into a LOT of SH vehicles. And as an Ork, have little in the way of ranged anti-tank, that isn't traipsing off after every land speeder that happens to get too close, thus losing the impetus of anti-Stormlord, that I so desperately need... I have included into my force, the Kabal of the Empty Threat...
My DE have shown little promise on their own (maybe because I AM an Ork... not just play one on TV... and so, don't do so well with finesse!)
This weekend (28July2012) I will be fielding a combined 14-k force in Abilene, KS for the first time! WAAAGH!!!
I think I posted my list with this file...

Any C/C welcome... I will post more models as I get the time to get them taken.

Any suggestions on how to clean them up?

This green tide has ate my lunch (and my marines) more than once... I like what you're doing with the DE even though you haven't quite got the finesse that they need. Looking forward to facing off on opposite sides of the table in the upcoming Apoc game.

To make pictures less grainy, I find putting more light on the models works. If all else fails, next time you are over we can take pictures on my display board, they usually come out pretty well.

We are supposed to have a 'gazillion' pics this weekend... At the Apoc game... So that will get me started... But, either way, we need to set up a game at your place... On your table that makes people drool... Or piddle, as the case may decry...

I need to play some 6th with da WAAAGH! before I hang them up.
I still think that it's going to go poorly for them... The Kabal of the Empty Threat may actually become a workable single force... But I do believe that Orkz got kinda munched with the Directional Casualties.
It's a testament to the quality of the Codex, that it lasted this long!!!!

With my Kabal, I have been painting the flesh with a base of Reaper: Bronzed Flesh, washing it with a blue ink, and then highlighting with Citadel Elf Flesh... I know that none of the models currently up show this, but I'm working on it.

I have to go sign the paperwork on my house in Pawnee Rock!!!! My House, in the middle of my street... I could be one of the Talking Heads!!!
Well, it's not in the middle of the street... It's a corner lot... and takes up half the block in either direction...

But I digress, I was curious if'n you'd like to get in a game of 6th Ed either Saturday around Noon, or Sunday around 1-ish... Are either of those date/times open?
Wanna make sure I get more than a game or two in, before I go all TO in January.... If it was going to be a 5th Ed tourney, I'm golden... But I haven't even slogged thru all the rules in the new Core book...

Ahhh, just tell them if they question a rule to show you in the book where they see their madness. That way they do all the work

My Kabal of the Empty Threat have won a game!!!!

Granted, it was largely due to time constraints... We were playing 6th (of course), the "Relic" mission, DoW deployment (I think that's what he said, seemed like "pitched battle" to me)...

My Warlord Trait was "Warlord becomes scoring unit"... And my combat drugs gave me +1 A...

Vect picked up the Relic... And my Scourges blew up the BA Razorback, giving me "First Blood"...
But we had to call it after turn 2... Mom yelled at me... "You said you would be home by 5", "You never take me out anymore", "Your children are driving me batty"... You know the drill...

May have won anyway, was picking the Mehrenns apart...

We're both pretty sure that it's the table that chooses the winner, though... Whoever is on the door-side of the table, loses... Usually very, very painfully...

But in honor of them doing something productive... I shall now refer to them as... *drum-roll* The Kabal of the Twisted Razor... As the reason they were winning was first blood, by killing a Razorback...
