Hello guys,

Some of you might perhaps recognize me as the other half of the Spiky Rat Pack.
Together with izeColt, we are determined to create this unique campaign called Punk Moth, It is about story of two Inquisitors and their adventures in the 40k universe.

You can follow the whole story at our blog (and please do because it's a long story!)
Most of you are probably already reading the izeColt's blog here in DakkaDakka so no need to write all about it here

Anyway Here's my Warband so far -

Inquisitor Pherion of Mars

Ruthless leader who trusts in strong faith, rather than brute strength or firepower. Little is known but it seems that Pherion is "old as the stars, as he has described it himself.

Being old and weak, he needs lots of technology to keep himself in pace. For that reason he carries ancient device Preservus-unit, life support system which he had obtained from the Tech Priests of Mars a long time ago. The device keeps him alive by pumping dozes of drugs and medicines into his veins when needed.

He is armed with a HUGE force sword. (he needs battle stimulants to be able to wield it properly in combat)

He carries the cloak of heroes. a cloak that has been almost entirely covered with purity seals from the long years of service as Imperial Inquisitor. The purity seals give Pherion a ward save against his enemies, but there are so many seals made of parchment that the cloak has become very flammable, so he must avoid flame weapons!

Just what I like to see somewhere I can comment without having to use blogger.....

He looks so good and the back draped in purity seals makes it for me, scream Imperium at me. I also like the use of GW parts because they have a certain 40k feel to them. I like the aged wizened look you have achieved using the Nercomancer. I hope he has some good suspensors on his sword it is huge and is very much juxtaposed with his weak frame. What did you cut up to make his backpack....perfect part that I am planning on stealing (after you've told me what it is)?

Initially I wasn't sold on Inquisitor Pherion's new pose because I was so taken with the artwork. But happily I was mistaken and you won me round now he is complete.....well not quite completed get painting . Talking of paint I hope you manage to get the pattern on the bolt pistol casing.

The rest of the warband are cool, especially like the twins, such a crazy concept and so well sculpted.

Not everyone like the Blogger stuff... that's why i wanted to post my stuff here also=)
The backpack is from Ork Stormboy sprue, cut away from larger chunk that originally formed the rokket pack.
I agree that the GW parts really make the dark 40k feel into the models... I think I'l be using this method when it is time to make new characters to the warband.

That means that I now rush to aid izeColt to build some cool terrain pieces!

The Good Green - It's always exiting to see, how well you are able to transfer the original idea in 3d world. Sometimes there's a lots compromises in the design but sometimes everything just flows perfectly

Great works! That goes without doubt. But what really amazes me is how you and your partner both keep up the same style. If I saw your works without knowing that there are too persons behind I'd be completely sure they have one author... I wish I could achieve same level of cooperation with my partner

Super awesome! Much like Ize the way you channel Blanche astounds me. I love the checks on Pherions scarf, they really add something special.

Looking forward to the terrain too! The WIPs ive seen on the blog look mighty promising indeed!

Well, we both use the same mediums (W&N inks, Citadel paints) and we both love John Blanches works and the way he uses colours. We also discuss about our works a lot over phone almost daily (we live 500 kilometers apart).. maybe that helps a little..... or..... maybe it's because we have met John Blanche in person and he magically inserted the secret Blanchitsu-implants in our heads when we met. I don't know you tell me?

You guys dont happen to have any step by step, or wip drawing type stuff do ya? I've always wanted to learn that style

The inks have wonderfully rich tones, just look at some of Mr. Blanches painted miniatures and you see how they almost glow those warm tones.

Check our blog for izeColt's drawings. He usually publishes the WIP's from pencil stage to rough colouring before the finished piece is released.

It's been little quiet here but here comes -

The big guy with the little head is my absolute favourite. I'm trying to think what exactly his head and neck remind me of, something from an anime, Studio Ghibli maybe. Looking forward to seeing him painted the most.

The newer members of the group really do look great.

The tech with joy stick is an absolute joy as is the floaty thing. Really like the antigrav unit with all the purity seals. Making a bionic arm out of flamers is sheer genius!

Really looking forward to seeing what you do paint wise with the hammer armed muscle. Tattoos, unhealthy skin etc????

This is some superb modelling. Tons and tons of character in these minis. Great work. Definitely Subbed.
