So here you go you patient little people, this is what you've all been waiting for, its time for Papa-Nid to take the reigns and whip you all into shape!!!

So here is my little competition for the next month, as you can tell, myself and Panda are doing small themes for the competitions until after Christmas, as this time of year can be hard on our poor poor wallets lols

1)You must scratch build a series of scenic bases to a set theme of your choice from the following themes:

-Urban Warfare
-Swampland
-Apocalyptic Wasteland
-Belly of The Beast
-The Warp


these categories are open to interpretation as usual!

2)You must make enough bases for one full unit of your choice.

for e.g. they must meet minimum/maximum unit requirements for your unit of choice.

-10x 25mm bases
-5x 40mm bases
-3x 60mm bases
-1x oval base.

3) The bases DO need to be painted (unless you opt into Rule 7), I don't expect you to paint a full unit in addition to the bases, but should you feel the need to, I can hardly stop you.

4) The bases will be judged on:

- Originality
- Use of bits/GS/styrene sheet
- whether or not they adhere to the chosen category of choice.

5) WIP pictures must be included.

6) Deadline is 8th October!

7) Galorn has very kindly made an offer of the following, and it will be the main prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, should you choose to OPT IN. There are obviously some main things to bear in mind to the winner(s), should you choose this option.



Terms & Conditions:

Main Terms:
1. no IP (Intellectual Property) violations (no specifically gw bits, such as weapons, large portions of models, SM helmets/torsos/etc).
2. minimal undercuts (no grating that has space under it for example).
3. the base/bases must not be painted should you choose to opt into this prize.

for the top three, Galorn will make a mold of the base submission, and ship it to the sculptor at his own expense. on the following terms:

Terms
1. I receive commercial rights to reproduce and sell the reproductions of the base submission in perpetuity. (reviewed quarterly)
2. The sculptor accepts payment of 20% of final sale profit of their base design, payed quarterly.
3. The sculptor ships the masters to me, and is willing to leave them in my custody to use in perpetuity (Unless they decide to withdraw from this agreement)

60mm bases might be funny, since you dont have a unit of 3 dreadnoughts lol.

No but you do have to have a unit of Guardsmen heavy weapons teams

and in answer to your question, yes lols

so long as it meets its entries minimum/maximum unit size its viable.

I has never, and never will play guard

I do however have a unit of zerker termies on the way from GW that i want to heavily convert, so i guess 5x40mm bases will do

belly of the beast can mean whatever you want it to, so long as it fits the theme, and doesnt require too much explaining anything goes!!!

Belly of the beast im guessing would be inside a creature or a possessed space hulk type thing

Warp bases are tempting and i have got an endless suply of daemons, so i may even try for 2 entries

belly of the beast... lol... pink/purple intestines ... now there is a nice picture everybody needs to see^^

and well i wasn´t asking for a guidline to cheat...

maybe i go with some orks for this one... or i could use my still unbased grots from the already won =]_= competition and base them in a matching theme... or i could use the warzone minis i am making atm...endless options... but for now i have to hit the hay...

as I say, all catagories are open to interpretation, but should be able to be shown without explination

It can be, as I say, I want your own interpretations of the themes, I don't want to be an influence in any way

WOW Galorn that is an awesome offer!!! Consider it done my friend, and added to the list of rules... of course it will be an optional one though!!!

i second the comment to galorn´s offer... cool idea and who wouldn´t love to see his stuff casted...

this changes my plans a bit... now i have to make bases from scratch instead of going for other options... but that´s ok...

Id say any of the top three choices would work. (swamp = feral, urban = warzone, wasteland = gorkamorka)

At gahlorn. I will be doing my bases for you, can multipul entries be had? Say I do two minimum on for belly of the best and one for the warp
