Hi folks,
This is my first post on DakkaDakka and is likely to be the only thread I've involved with (for shame). I've not been playing much the past few years and it is will a little regret that I am looking to sell one of the very limited run original pre-Forge World
40k scale Thunderhawk Gunships. Only 500 of these were produced after which the moulds were destroyed. The model was housed within a beautiful hinged & locked wooden case with imperial eagle corners and uniquely numbered imprint on top. It also came with instructions, unique waterside transfer sheets, and an envolope sealed with a faux-wax purity seal. Inside the envelope is a certificate of authentication, however I cannot verify this as I have never broken the seal. While the early numbers were made of lead (and so were a bit easier on the assembly), #474 is made of white metal (which has helped it survive the test of time, unlike some of it's lead sisters).
The original cost was for 40,000p (see what they did there), and while I know they can sell for quite large sums I'd be realistically looking for £500+P&P as the minimum I'd consider (tho I'm open to folks paying in instalments if they are wanting it but can't pay all at once). I don't care where in the world you are, or which currency you use, but
UK folks will find it easier and cheaper to get their grubby mits on this. I can be contacted here or via
keith.fyans@gmail.com. I'd be happy to arrange a chat over phone/skype if you
PM me a first, and if you are near Glasgow (Scotland) then I'd be happy to for you swinging by my gaff to check everything is legit. So, without further ado, some photos of the glorious beast-machine:
Closed box, ready to rock!
Flanked!
Corner and Hinge deets.
The whole sha-bang!
Components all in mint condition.
Build instructions.
Waterslide transfers.
Certificate envelope front.
Certificate envelope back.
Holding the certificate up by the seal to show it is unbroken.
If anyone wants more photos (the other flank, the key, inside the instructions) then just hollar. The only thing I'm unwilling to do is break the seal. If you want to see that you are gonna have to part with some cash first
Cheers for taking a look folks,
Keith.
