Hello all
So ill be honest im being a bit cheeky here and asking you all if you dont mind showing your modifications that you have done to imperial guard lasguns to change their look. the reason i ask is i wnat to to modify my guardsmens lasguns in a way that keeps them tournament legal as i plan to go to my first tournament soon and as such they cant be non GW parts (GW run tournmanet grrr damn rules) so the cool assault group guns and other companys are out of the question. My perosnal thought was to make them look like sa80 assault rifles and m4's but no idea how but ofcourse if you lot have some cool lasgun conversions please show me if you dont mind
thank you all for reading and hopefully posting

A simple google images search for '40k lasgun conversion' gives tons and tons of different options.

He's better painted now, but since you asked so nicely:
So, I cut off the tip of the barrel, drilled out the skinny part, and then cut off the clip on the bottom. I think it looks more like a "real" rifle now. The cool thing about this is that, in game terms, I can call it either a lasgun or a shotgun, as needed.

Guy on the far right, I cut the end of the lasgun off and put the lower part of a fantasy Empire Knight's lance on it to give it a tubular foregrip reminiscent of the M16, It's still in progress here.
Some Battlefleet Gothic crewmen I made for a boarding game using the Space Hulk game. The partially cut off fuy on the left had the muzzle tip of a lasgun and clip added to his blunderbuss (Empire Militia sprue) And the Lieutenant in the center had a lasgun tip added to a pistol (Empire Pistoliers sprue)

Here is my cheap way of making a Long Las sniper rifle. But it would look just as good as say a basic lasgun.
