Looks like it could be good, but a few suggestions.

1) Keep all the armor the same color. Helmets are okay to be different, but have all the others armor segments the same.

2) I would darken the grey a little, even just some black wash would help it a lot.

Maybe make the chest armor red, then they would look like proper redcoat. You couldn't call them a redcoat if they didn't have a red coat

I, sir, find that to be a racist comment.

Joke

I like it, though second the comments on adding red to the torso. You could keep the centre 'globe' grey though.

Also recommend some colour on the gun, I'd mix in the black and red again, probably use black as the main colour and add red to the top and tip blocks

I agree with the part about the gun, although I recommend a hazel stock and a gunmetal barrel. You know like a musket.

Looking at all the replies I came up with this

I like where this is going, even if this isn't quite what you're looking for.

Britain is NOT just England! FFS!

Let me guess, they have a 'British' accept too, and they exclusively drink tea and speak Queen's English? :/

About 90% of it is

And I'm not really seeing how just painting them red makes them "British". To me you'd need to do a hell of a lot of converting before they looked like anything other than red Tau.

By population, sure, by landmass, not so much

Rather than redcoats, why not go for greenjackets? The concept of Tau with red berets amuses me as well. Also everyone knows that the British Empire was kept and guarded by the Highland regiments anyway... TAU WITH KILTS!!1!11oneoneoneeleven

I don't understand the scheme, we don't have any black in the English flag or the British Flag.

Red and White or Blue, Red and White.

I think it refers more to the uniform that the British troops wore throughout the war of American Independence (which we still haven't given up on you know We'll be back )

It's looks good, but I can't see in what way it's supposed to look British.

Scroll half way down this page, just past the image of a triangular fort, and you'll see.

http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/threads/the-american-revolution-1775-1783.159/

It's not meant to represent the colours of the union jack, it's the uniform colour of the British Troops during the American Revolution.

OP, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
