Subject: True scale Nurgle marines experiment

Jealous that Horus is Warmaster

I've always thought space marines were to small. I recently got hold of the Chosen from the Dark Vengeance box, and whilst they are fantastic looking minis these hulking space marines in there bulky power armour are the same size as the human cultists meaning once they've finished a hard days slaughter and get home for a cuppa, hanging there power armour on the peg by the door they must be shrivelled midgets and that's just not right.
So I'm going to try and make a chaos space marine force the right size.
I've chosen Nurgle, 1: because I like it and 2: because Nurgle has the least clean lines and so it's easier to bulk out.
Now I could just add some green stuff to the waist or plasticard to the feet which would get him to the right hight but then he'll be out of proportion and look a bit silly, so I need to bulk him out all over but not take to long to do since I'll be doing a load of them.
Terminators will be a bit tricky but I have a Typhus to experiment on.
I've finished my test marine to see how it'll work and just wanted some feedback.
I think it works pretty well.

Nice.
Marines scale always bugged me, I get why they use the current scale it as marines would be the size of terminators and terminators the size of... really big terminators?
Still nice to see you've remedied that. I like how imposing he looks compared to the cultist.
I'd give it a go but would get bored after one squad.

just finishing another plague marine.
did a couple of other bits though.
it was well into the painting stage of Typhus when I realised what I should have done to him.
I reposed him and made him taller and wider but I didn't make the torso wider, with the arms moved there's lots of space to have made him fatter so I'm not so happy with that one. I'm tempted to do another.
The Hellbrute was actually the first Nurgle mini and just has a few Nugly bits but I really like him. I've just won a space marine Dreadnought on eBay for a tenner so I'm going to build a Hellbrute and really go to town.

my Death guard are coming along
I've just finished 3 Terminators using the obliterator models. Personally I think these are pretty rubbish minis for obliterators but with some bits added and removed make very nice terminators.
I used most of the original mini just added the Terminator gun arm, head and spikes. I sculpted new thighs so I could change those silly poses and sculpted some extra skin hanging off them and belly plates.
I'm waiting for a box of Mutilators to arrive so I can make a champion and an icon bearer
