I want to start a space wolves army, but in red. What do you guys think?

It's pretty decent, but it doesn't say "Space Wolves" to me... It just looks like a chaos space marine on a wolf. Not bad though.

What if I were to tone it down a bit, lose the horns. Think it could work. Wanted to make my own chapter called Blood moon space wolves or something :p

In the Grim 31st Millennium the Space Wolves finally turned to chaos thanks to the machinations of Horus. Sent to destroy the Thousand Sons, Magnus the Red had no choice but to UNLEASH HELL upon the Space Wolves. Many were cut down by sorcery, they could be immune to psychic powers but they weren't immune to a mountain falling upon them. They were dying like the dogs they were.

Leman Russ had no choice but to accept the help of the "Dark Gods" that promised him unlimited power so his Legion could survive. It was an apocalyptic battle but the Thousand Sons still prevailed. Leman Russ escaped into the warp together with the remains of his Legion.

The God-Emperor forgave him impetuous son for his mistake that cost him his project and saw how he had no choice but to resort to Sorcery. If he didn't, he would have been annihilated. Now he had a new mission: Hunt and Destroy the fallen Space Wolves! They let go of their Loyalists colors and took a new name: The Crimson Wargs.

Well, that was my shot as to why SW look like Chaos and Thousand Sons bleed

Looks great, but as mentioned earlier its definitely a chaos marine. If you want space wolf style troops then you really can't go wrong with the sw minis. As for the colour choice. It's your army so it's your choice. Personally I think they'll look amazing.

Clip the horns and add a mullet to give him some SW flavour. Looks cool id run with the story above and play them as the lost wolves of russ. Somthing like that.

Depends which one you killed xD If it was psychic in any reasonable way, they didn't turn into souls

This guy was a HQ choice so I wanted him to stand out a little bit, but in future ill probably avoid horns and stick to a more feral look.

Going to paint some wolf guard terminators next, with the FW kit, using the advice given here.

They look rad, which is enough for me. You could even run a chaos force with counts as wolves rules. Call them doom wolves or blood wolves or something like that.

Have you ever read the Bolter and Chainsword's Dornian Heresy? They remind me of the Space Wolves from that. They do look very Khornate, but I think you absolutely deserve credit for trying to make a departure from established conventions. It's a good use of artistic license. I like him!

Looks exactly like a Khorne Beserker on a Wolf, I would try and maybe change the color of red, or try to alter the attachments, but they look good for Khorne Wolves lol.
