Head 1 is the plastic one, I think it looks more like a proper sorcerer head and also matches the theme a little better.
Head 2 is the metal one... not quite as appropriate but such an awesome head.

I like the plastic one better. The metal one is too skull-like for my taste and is better suited for a khorne model or some non spellcasting HQ/champion.
