Ok, i recently picked up a Space Marine Devastator Squad box. and after having opened it and started going through what bits i wanted to use, i came across this ... i have searched online and see a couple others like it but then a few that are not ...

is the inside of this arm supposed to have that big hole in it? ... this would be the sgt's arm that you can attach different hand's to ...

on none of the torso's is there a large bulge on one side to mate up with it. and with the small amount of surface area left it will be a little bit difficult to glue in place.

since i found photo's showing both i am posting here before contacting GW. already called the shop i got it from (small independent shop) and they said to contact manufacture for any warranty or box content discrepancy ...

No, it's not. Mine didn't look like that at all, on the flip side though, you can still manage to glue it in all likelihood, it'll just be around the edges of the arm with plastic glue or some such.

No, but if you use Plastic glue, it shouldn't matter at all.

ok going to shoot GW an email then. yeah i could try to fill it in with green stuff or something similiar to get a better surface to glue to. while looking at it more .. the other side is so thin i was able to press it in accidentally while just feeling it for any deviation on the surface.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
just got off the phone with GW about it ... they said all the newly molded sprues are starting to have that cavity there. and gave me the line of just using glue around the edges ...

heh. well at least i know what to expect.

Mine is the same as that pictured.
Was actually helpful for me - I was magnetising and that hole was nicely centered... just needed boring slightly wider for my magnets to slot in.
Didn't think anything of it at the time.

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

I've built a few of the old box set and this arm has always had a hole in it; I always assumed it had to do with manufacturing of the sprue.

I've built 6 or 7 and all of mine have had those holes in them.

That holes appear on almost all later production run of the devastator box. And if you check any newer GW boxes, there are always hollow in the armpits and legs. I guess those hollows are to cut material cost.
