Havent posted any photos since my chaos marines in some time, I've switched projects and had a few life events since then but here are some pics of my recent work. Working on some Tomb Kings for a tournament coming and some dark eldar as well. Im doing my take on what the Kabal of the White Flames would look like (from the Path of Dark Eldar series).

This will be a blog too keep me motivated to keep posting photos, I lurk some of the other threads here and see some amazing stuff!

Sorry if the photos are terrible, my phone actually takes better ones than the camera I have ... I tried doing the white photo box but all the white drives my phone camera crazy! As always models are better in person

First Squad of Kabalite Warriors
The arm is missing from the Sybarite as I'm still painting it, I have the arms magnetized to change loadout as needed. And I am still working on freehanding the White Flames logo from the book onto his standard or finding a way to get it on a decal transfer sheet somehow.




Any criticisms are welcome! Its the only way to get better getting advice and opinions from others Ill occasionally get stuck on a model as to what color should go where and such..

Though the sybarite may not be finished, that whip looks cool! I really love the colors for that DE army. Most are always so dark and dreary, but those guys really pop.

nice ballanced scheme for the warriors, the gems on the sphinx bring it of well.

Something doesnt quite work with the face of the archon I think maybe the eyes are getting lost somehow, perhaps a bright blue to match the flame (like its light is shining in his pityless black eyes) might work.

Also the white panel on the chest plate is to bright (could be camera ) and taking over from the face, using a bit of light grey there push it back a bit, like the shoulder pads on the warriors in the photos.

they look great with that scheme though it just works really well.

I tried to make them look suitably evil without taking away from the fact that they are eldar, glad it came out successfully!

Yea the white balance on the camera I guess doesnt like seeing pure white (also the direction my light was placed) so it overbalanced on that which in turn darkened his eyes. They are a bright green like the gem. Although i could try not highlighting the white up so far around the edges, I didnt leave much of the light gray behind it visible. Gotta get it right before I botch these lovely incubi models!!

More tomb king models to come though as tournament approaches... going with a chariot army to push my Royal Purple (car joke) theme

Finished up a raider for my Kabal, it was a pain edging all the armor but I think it turned out pretty good. And of course I have several of these to paint up for my army along with ravagers...





Still working on trying to find the symbol from the book that I can print to a decal sheet, really dont want to freehand it to the sail and my unit banners! Also its missing one crew member hanging off the side, I didnt have a head for him at the time the raider was primed. I am trying to include helmets on every model or at least the head from the ravager set with the glasses on to add to the effect of an aerial army
It also adds to the evilness of the army by putting helms on or at least covering their eyes. Classic movie trick- Darth Vader/Stormtroopers/Matrix Agents/etc you get the idea..
Only one will probably be my haemonculus, he just looks evil enough and creepy as he wants to look the victims in the eye..(cue evil laugh)
