An update to the list as I have finished the tournament and didnt do too hot...wont explain game 2 in depth as I learned the value of know thy enemy

...played an eldar player who clearly skewed every rule possible to make my life harder. was a friendly guy so didnt think to question it but I understand messing 1 or 2 rules up but after going through the dex after the game i was shocked

...I was fighting all WS5 I5 Armor save 3+ howling banshees and Dire avengers, and his farseer had a speer he could throw that in combat let him re-roll misses, had fleshbane and was AP2

...enough of my rant though, hard to stay on top of all the armies with the prices of these books now..
Anyways the list, Exalted rewards = Terrible.
I would rather have two greater rewards as they improve survivability. Exalted rewards dont work often in these fast paced, sometimes short games. Even just one greater reward on each demon would net me 60pts to spend elsewhere.
Kharn - needs eternal warrior...badly...one bad roll to wound, bad look out sir, or the enemy makes too many Invul saves and then you have a powerfist/thunder hammer/lascannon shot coming to shut the lights out... I think it would actually help to have a toned down character so as not to obliterate a unit in
CC in one round also, that way the deal is sealed on their turn and I am free to move and charge another unit after that on my turn.
Dirge Casters = $$$MONEY$$$
for their price i would never leave home without. one land raider unloads it cargo, the other raced by to get close to the enemy and prevent overwatch, following turn they switch roles. Looks like leap frog
lol. But it hurt Tau a lot with all their overwatch madness...
Lastly I will drop one unit of cultists, one squad of 15 is better just lurking in the back as the other unit I usually didnt have a use for.
World Eaters assault army this edition could be so much better if I could have open topped rhinos or some other cheaper assault transport.
I will toss around the idea also of just using
CSM and giving them the mark of Khorne and
CC weapons to be my berzerkers. At least then I can include melta guns and bolter rapid firing the turn I disembark from rhinos or land raiders and the enemy is too far away. I will also look into some Warp Talons or Raptors with mark of khorne. I will post the list change later
Automatically Appended Next Post: Game 1 was against Tyranids, went reasonably well and only lost because the game continued to play on. It was Relic mixed with Crusade, my bloodthirster was king of the match by stand in the middle of the table and Killing blow his Exocrine, then wading through 30 Hormagaunts with the aid of my other demon prince, only to be assaulted by the swarmlord and two cronies. I had rampage and was still outnumbered by a few gaunts so I killed off the swarmlord before he could even swing
Land raiders were useful but once they dropped their cargo the sat around denying overwatch but little else, their few shots from lascannons dont make them worth the price tag to have two..
Game 3 was against Tau, there was little cover on the table so it was a turkey shoot from the getgo. I need more bodies to be able to soak up some damage as we close to engage and some covering fire to at least make the enemy duck their heads a bit. Im thinking maybe a vindicator as they seem reasonably scary? Or a defiler?
