Warforge makes a really good one. Statuesque is a little out of scale, but their work is really nice.

I got one. This model is fantastic and was a real pleasure to paint !

It's temporarily out of stock on this site : http://eurobitz.com/fr/121-warforge
But still available on their e-bay store : http://stores.ebay.fr/neo-mini-games/Figurines-/_i.html?_fsub=4270615015&_sid=653689505&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

That model is pretty cool, but is the bare chest really necessary? I mean, running around the battlefield with chest exposed and high heels?
Albeit The pose is pretty sweet.

Not that I don't agree, but the GW one has the same problem (minus heels), as do the Raging Heroes ones.

You can also paint her chest another color to represent a sweater or so if seeing skin on a model troubles you. ^_^

Anyway, on miniatures realism is not what matters most. Did you ever notice that most space marine character wear a massive power armour, and stroll on the battlefield without their helmets ?
'Yup, I'm Marneus Calgar/Darnath Lysander/Logan Grimnar, I'm wearing wear a TDA but I forgot to put my helmet on."
So I don't see the problem with Viktoria wearing high heels.

If you have to stick with GW, a friend of mine years ago made an excellent cheesecake conversion of one out of a DE Sorceress. Just chop off the headdress, add a cap and a new weapon and you're done.

So the only way to field a GW female model for 40K (other than the DE) is to convert the DE Sorceress?

The Vampire Counts range has a couple of nice poses. I used one for my astropath

Also there are the SoB and lots of eldar models with female secondary sex characteristics.

As was mentioned, there also was a female Commissar made by GW in the late '90s (? Or thereabouts). It was originally a limited edition for US games day or somesuch thing, but was for a time sold through the website a well.

Opinions are a little divided on how good it was...

Had.
Those female vampires aren't on the GW site anymore. :( I've been looking for something to convert to a female inquisitor.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.

How well do the raging heroes 'kuganovas' and the war-forge mini scale to the current cadian/imperial guard? If the scale isn't bad then I'll pick up a set of the 'kurganovas' especially at £20 for the 3.

I think the Kurganovas are a little tall, but not out of scale. Just unusually tall ladies. I'm not certain though, I don't have the minis myself, I just recall seeing a comparison pic.

Here is 2/3s of them (didn’t want to try to cram all 3 into the shot). I have some odds and ends of IG that I’m painting for a friend, but all of my personal stuff is old RT/2nd ed stuff, so not the best for comparison pics. So here is my old commissar, and a new sly marbo that’s on the bench for comparison.

IMHO they are close enough not to make a difference. If they seem a bit tall, blame it on the 6” heels they are wearing

Comparative shot of WarForge models with an Imperial guard. They are similar in size, but have better proportions than GW models.
They fit nicely in a GW army though.

Oh jeez. They are both quite tall minis aren't they? That guardsmans is standing on at least 2mm of extra base and still only hits level with the two lovely, but deadly ladies standing next to him.

They're both standing up straighter than he is, though.

As is only fitting for such defenders of the imperial spirit. That guardsman had better buck up his ideas meladdo, or it the firing squad for him
