My daughter started painting her army tonight. Blue skin, Pink shells, Purple small bits. She plans on using skulls as basing. Then she plans to decorate the shells with hearts.

This is probably the best thing I have heard this year. I want to see pictures when its done

she has only primed and done the skin of 6 of them so far...she just started Friday night. As soon as the first one is done I'll post a pic of it. (the GW store manager said when she is done it will probably be submitted to White Dwarf).

She is 10 years old. And a friend who had gotten out of the hobby gave her a pre-built (though not painted) Nid army. Over 100 models.

You know what's kind of funny is those colors are decidedly "girly" but work extremely well. Basic color theory, pink and blue are best friends. If you guys wanted to get crazy with the bases, maybe going some sort of crystal-themed world could look awesome. They seem magical-ish in nature, right?
