Like the titel says, i painted up my first finecast model. I really thing that all the small details where really ruined on this model but i tried to paint it up either way. Somehow the primer went gritty on some parts while on other parts ( even in the same section) it went on smooth. Never the less here it is. C&C is always welcome but please keep it simple enough so my brain can suck up the information

ps: the basing kit is in the mail, just haven't received it yet

I've found that FineCast, like any other resin needs to bewashed in warm, soapy water to remove release agent. Otherwi you might have chunks of your paint jobcome off of the model.

Usually the cast is fine (as in decent enough)' that is why it is called "finecast".
I would like to see how good your paint job is but the photograph is too dark to see.

I can't really see any grainy textures, xept maybe for his left arm? (right upper for us, watching).
Really, add some simple highlights. Hit up his head, his gun, the gold.. with just some simple strokes and it will pop out much more. I don't know what standard you were looking for to paint, but I think it's easy enough to add those couple highlights

thank you for the feedback. I did not know that about the warm soupy water i just washed them like normal plastic. As for the painting standard , i just do the best i can. I am a very new and probably not so dandy painter who just wants a decent look army to eventually start playing with
edit: will try to take new pictures during the day when there is better light

I've actually had primer do the same thing with finecast, even with a warm soapy bath to get the release agent off. The only other material I've had do this is Mantic's restic formula they use for Dreadball (entire starter was ruined...).
It sucks when it happens, but both companies have decent enough customer service that they'll send you out a new mini (or set of minis, in my case)
