HI every one it's probably already been done but i'm interested in seeing what other members have enjoyed painting the most .
Not how good it came out but what challenged you the most, for me it was what is below ! Trying to get the effect on the axe and the blue of the amour.
So come on lets see what you got

I think mine was probably my heldrake. It took forever, but I loved every minute. I think the enjoyment showed too, as it took 1st place in a local painting comp

That helldrake is stunning. They too often look flat and monotone.

However, I do worry about what it is doing to that vendetta...

I've got a couple of models that I especially enjoyed doing. My DC converted Assault Squad was a real pleasure both to convert and to paint, but I think my recent Librarian tops it at the moment. It was the first time I'd ever painted blue, and I was rather pleased how well he came out. So pleased I even named him (Though to be fair I name most of my guys ) So, here's my guy 'Cinis Sac'erdos' (Ash Priest):

EDIT: Hehe, you ninja'd me there Reiner - and that's quite the transformation you've done, that Daemon Prince looks great!

I enjoyed painting my swarmlord. The hive tyrant is a great kit, and this thing just came together in no time. I think I did the whole thing over a weekend.

This has to be the one I had the most fun with. I experimented a lot on it with fluorescents, oils, and airbrushing, and I mostly like how it turned out.

This guy was particularly fun to paint because I rarely duplicate the GW paintjob, and I was really proud of how close I got to matching it.

Fun conversion from a WHFB Warrior Priest to an IG Ministorum Priest. Sometimes I really enjoy doing a quick tabletop paintjob rather than spending a ton of time on a single mini. Nice change of pace.

I liked this the most because of everything I've painted to date, I was telling a story with the model and base.

For the Lion and Terra!

Because nothing in the galaxy is black and white, Mankind views the Space Marines as a last resort. The last line. When all else fails. They take up the burden. The noble defenders of Mankind. The last hope.

With finecast you can bypass the washing stage and throw them straight into the bin.

Everything displayed in this thread is simply stunning. I hope I am not being too melodramatic in saying the passion and enjoyment the artists felt can almost be physically seen in these.

This site is such a dichotomy.

The words we have for our hobby are often bitter, pessimistic and full of contempt* while the exemplary art and artistry exhibited throughout cannot hide our dedication and love.

When I feel kind sullied after reading one of those apocalyptic, angry threads, I need only browse one like this to rejuvenate my spirit. These threads are like a warm bath for the soul, and I hope our hobby and our passion for it will allow more like this and less of the others.

*This is is absolutely not directed at anyone in this particular thread. I absorb content far better than forum names.
