I'm going for a Khorne theme for my Chaos so it'll be Red and Gold (it is gold right? or is it bronze?)

I've decided to keep Captain Highpower's army as Ultramarines. I am starting another project for my homebrew chapter "Heralds of the Protomartyr". It'll be a 1750pt army that I plan to use if I ever make it to some tournaments that I know use that point value (like the Bay Area Open). I'm also starting a 2000pt Warriors of Chaos but I haven't gotten its composition pinned down just yet... all I know is that it'll use an Exalted Hero that is a BSB and is equipped with a halberd and shield.

Here are pics for the 'Heralds' Tac squads and one of their Rhinos. The plasmagun marines, plasmacannon marines, and sergeants are done (aside from barrel drilling). The boltgun marines still need krak grenades as well as bolt pistols.







Here will be the HQ for the 'Heralds' army. The Chaplain in Terminator Armor is one of my favorite models not just from GW but in general.

Just a couple random things...

I'm kind of not in paint mode so haven't touched the bikes for the 'highpower' project... maybe tonight.

Instead I worked on some WoC Knights for a cav army and some Chaos Termies for a World Eaters army:

Here are 9 knights. They'll be 2 groups of five each with full command.


This group of knights still needs a Standard bearer. I used those parts to build a BSB Exalted Hero.


Here are partially built Chaos Terminators that I plan to use in a World Eaters army. They're going to ride with my Chaos Lord in Termie armor in a Land Raider.

I got the 2nd Rhino built for the tac squads for the 'Heralds of the Protomartyr' project.


Part of my monthly modeling goals includes getting 35pts of Cygnar built: pStryker, an Ironclad, a Charger, a Lancer, a unit of Stormblades along with unit and weapon attachments, a Unit of Gun Mages along with unit attachment, a gun mage adept, and a Journeyman Warcaster.

I've jumped to Orkz. I've gotten rid of all my Space Marine stuff and replaced it all with Ork stuff. So scrapped is 'Heralds of the Protomatyr'... Gone is Captain Highpower's charge... Enter the [unnamed] Waaaugh.

So far I've made a list that has a 2000 point base size... and an 1850 version, which, as I type this, I just realized is illegal (if I understand dual FOC correctly)

I was using dual FOC at 1850... I think that's not legal... I think dual FOC is for 2000 and above right?

Correct. Many folks also play 1999+1, meaning single Foc 2000 point. May want to find the norm for your area.

I got the 1850 list fixed.

I started with the 2k list then took out an HQ... the Big Mek w/ SAG. (I mostly had the dual FOC for 3 HQs the rest of the list has the allowable amount for a single FOC.)

After removing one extra HQ, I replaced Snikrot with a Kommando Nob w/ Power Claw.

Finally, I trimmed of 15 more points by getting rid of one big shoota on the Battlewagon and one rokkit launcha in the 'ard Boyz squad.

I'm not too worried about what the local norm is because I plan to expand on my Orkz so as to adjust to whatever point value is being proposed per game. I mainly started with a 2K and 1850 list because those are the point values that are for a couple tournaments I want to participate in.

Its an interesting skirmish game. I like the reactive 'overwatch'-type things that can happen. I also like the sci-fi feel of the game.

It's been a while since I've posted anything... Well I'm getting back into the swing of things. Here's some (sort of) WIPs. Really its just pics of my workspace and some stuff I'm getting ready... no actual work yet.


I still need to organize this 'spot' I randomly threw stuff in it to get them out of the way while cleaning some other things.



At the moment I'm just using my workspace to organize piles of what I plan to work on



Here is a bunch of stuff from auctions that I plan to work on... Included are 2 space marine strike forces... 2 extra razorback kits... and 2 fallen aquilas or whatever the terrain is called.



Here's more boxed stuff I plan to work on... I may not need all of it... in fact I think I might have made duplicate purchases



This is mostly empty boxes from stuff I've been working on... the pile is about to get a lot bigger.

How does one afford so many models? This is the most plastic ie ever seen!

Here is a little peek at my work area.

This is where I spend a lot of time.  I may have the monitor mounted on the wall to make some space on the 'desk'.

This is the computer half.  I'll give more details in a future post regarding what my computer specs are.  Right now I just want to show you a little bit around where I work.

Here is the console half.  I still have a couple more systems that I intend to add to the line up.  More on that in the future.

I do my miniatures hobby work here at another table/desk/whatever.

This is the 'building' half I guess you can say (really I'm going to shift things around when it comes time to paint... right now its construction mode).

On this side are some finished pieces and some supplies including paints.  Like I mentioned in the previous picture things will get shifted once I get into paint mode.

Here is my kitchen.  It isn't much, but it works.  Along with some of my 'computer' and 'miniatures' stuff, I plan to try to develop some cooking skills.

Looks like a nice, organized hobby battle station.

Here are some pictures of work I did one weekend for my Dark Angels.

Drop Pods for a couple Dreadnoughts (I left out the harnesses since these 'Pods' are for dreads).



Razorbacks/Rhinos for the Tactical Squads and Veteran Squad (I magnetized some of the accessories).










Dark Angels Company Veterans (at first I could only finish 4 since I only had enough BP/CS pairs for that many from 2 boxes, but then I ordered some BP/CS pairs from eBay to finish up the rest... there are 9 total).




Tactical Squads (I used the Sternguard Veteran kits because I like their amount of detail).



Assault Squad (I used the Vanguard Veteran kits because I like their amount of detail like the Sternguard Veteran kits).


EDIT: I can't show you the snipers for some reason. The picture I uploaded keeps bringing me to the 'Dakka dakka going through maintenance' thing.

Dreadnoughts each with a Plasma Cannon and Heavy Flamer (I used the Venerable Dreadnought kit due to its amount of detail in the pieces).



The above Dreads are for one list. Here is another Dreadnought with a Plasma Cannon but instead of a Heavy Flamer I gave him a Storm Bolter so he could be like the Deathwing Terminators he'll be with.

Sammael for my Ravenwing (You'll notice some chunks missing due to a bad cast; I plan to use these as 'battle damage').

I have faith you can polish off a DW force. The model count is so low its almost a waste to not have one.

I know right? I might get some of the DV termies to mix in with the lot. Gonna have a couple dreads too maybe.

Painted up a Dark Vengeance Librarian. Excuse the poor pictures... I haven't got a good setup for pictures yet. My old desk was disposed of when I moved and I haven't gotten around to making a good picture taking 'booth' setting for minis yet.
