I like them. I love the models and they are a bit different to the creepy Camo guys. It´s a bit sad to get only a 4-man-link with them now but it´s a nice opportunity to use sheskiin. Think, they are the only ones like a brick in the Shas lists (except the Sphinx, the wonderful Sphinx). I like the Nano Screen idea and the weapons they got even if they are a bit expensive...

Nice! I particularly like the barrel of this guy's gun. Very glowy and cool looking.

Medusa, I wanted to thank you for the tutorial on the Morat colors. Using that and the pics, I was able to come up with a pretty decent and comparable paint job in my own Morat. Thanks a lot.

All things considered, I think I got the colors matched up fairly well.

Those drones look pretty damn good, all of them! what color green is that, precisely? And yes, I will proceed to horribly rip off your colour schemes over the next few months

Looks real good. Your guns seem to look nicer than mine...I think only the flesh is a bit flat..

Thanks. The Green is a Vallejo Color, I´ll check that.

Thanks, that'd be great!

@Barzam Wow, that's one heck of a bright glowy gun for a morat! It does work rather nicely.

Is his gun too bright do you think? I couldn't figure out what kind of weapon it even is. I figured it was probably an energy weapon and just painted as such. I think I did lose a bit of the detailing on him though on account of a mishap with my glue going nuts out of the bottle and my primer possibly going on too thick. I actually did highlight his exposed skin on his feet and face, but my lighting wasn't the best when I took those pictures.

Thanks for the kind words though.

It's an "HMG" analogue (their combi rifles look more "normal" ).

Although having it be a coilgun version instead of our primitive chemical slug throwers is Skiffy enough - even though Morats are only supposed to be at the contemporary human tech level.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

No. I do not think it is too bright. Works wellIMO. I often get too dark with my colors. I am a bit too lazy doing a lot of layers and often forget to do hard edges. I try but theres so much stuff to do and I like darker tones for CA. Your glowing HMG is very nice. I think e en the Morat are no tech race they work a very long time for the EI and it will have given them weapons and equipment to solve their tasks. Working for a super intelligence will bring some nice features like weapon technology and other stuff. That is the reason I paint all my Combined weapons in the same dark grey and glowing green like I paint the aspects of the EI. Think the EI will produce the army's weapons and give them to them...

Lovely drones, medusa. Sorry if you explained this before and I've forgotten but how do you do those bases?

Thanks mate!
The bases are done with a special modelling putty, I´ll check that. When the stuff gets hard it gets this nice dead earth look. That´s all.

Here´s a new update. Treitak and Zerat are finished. I´m really excited about the GenCon pictures of the Morat redesigns. I love the new toys very very much.....

I hope you like the minis.

I'm a big fan of the Zerat designs. I'm glad to see them painted up in your scheme. It looks really good on them.

Very slick! I love that vibrant pink hair. Yeh the new Morat designs are exciting, that box set is up there on my wish list now. Before it Morats were of no interest to me so it's doing a great job.

Not a big Combined Army fan, but these are very nice, especially the lively hair colour on the Zerat.

Thank you very much. I wasn´t sure about using such an extreme color for the Zerat´s hair. But it turned out well, now I´m excited to get the MAF-box-release in my hands...

Just went through your blog again and must admit I'm envious of your productivity. I can't wait to tackle my dirty aliens, but there are those oodles of unpainted Aleph troops in the way.
Btw it would be great if you gave us a nice "family portrait" of your alien scum. Maybe one for the Shasvastii, one for the Morats etc.

Scarper: "That is incredibly detailed...shows an attention to detail that goes beyond anyone you'll fight."
The Good Green: "Ok, That is incredible. Such attention to detail... I'm convinced you would benefit from a straight jacket ;~P Thanks for raising the bar."
PDH: "Yeah Bloody Baiyuan's Bloody eye for detail . Bet he doesn't sig that one"
PDH: "I'm not saying anything that you might sig against me. Made that mistake before!"

Thank you very much. I´ll do that when I do the next models. I know, it´s hard to get all these sweet minis done, I got 3 factions of Infinity here. I worked on the Combined stuff the last months mostly. Now I´ll do some PanO and Tohaa the next days. A friend of mine made me some GW Escher-Necromunda-girls as a gift and so I´m painting these now...he wants me to play this game, too and it´s the best way to get me...

Awesome work man. I always thought the Morats looked like crap until I saw this, didn't stop me starting a Combined Army force though!

Those bases in particular really make the minis *pop*. They looked great before but afterwards they look incredible!

Thank you very much. All of you have been so kind to me...The old Morats look like crap when you see the new Combined stuff. So I´m very happy to get the MAF-starter this year (what fanboy I am...). My bases are really easy. If I got the time I´ll do a tutorial. There´s no magic. I do about 10-15 bases the same time because it´s not my favourite thing....

There's not really much to be kind about, Medusa. You do stunning work and I look forward to seeing what you do with the MAF starter.

I think it is. Internet can be cruel sometimes you show things you paint and there are always guys who do it so much better. Before the starter comes I hope to get a Morat TAG but right now I got to pay my bills...and right now my thoughts go around Necromunda.

Could I ask what modelling paste it is you use for those bases? No need for a huge tutorial or anything, just a pointer towards the right product would be a great help. I'm kind of stuck figuring out what kind of paste does what, exactly, and since what you're doing is basically the effect I want most anyway just a name of what I should order would be a great help!

And again thanks for the help with the green colours etc; really make painting EI fun
