Well. I came home today, to find my long awaited warhound waiting for me.
After unpacking it and sorting all the bits out, I was left with, a lot of big bits, and a massive whopping great pile of tiny pieces. I genuinely underestimated the size of this thing. However, despite needing to get up at 5am, I decided some things are more important than sleep.

And so begins, the largest project I have ever undertaken.

Go go go! Don't stop or you may lose the gumption to continue and finish. Painting it will be your biggest trial. Good look and will keep checking back!

Check the casting under the guns. I had trouble with those and had to get replacements.

Thanks winterdyne. The casting seems ok except for a nasty mould line on the vmb, which I will deal with appropriately.

Anyway. Todays update, the body and legs are now mocked up ready for cleaning up and glueing properly. im not sure I trust superglue to hold it together, so I'll be pinning it and using epoxy glue. The one major issue I've had is that the mould lines and flash on this thing are ridiculous, if you're planning on building one then be prepared to spend a while trimming and filing before you build.

Anyway, on to the pics.

You got yourself a Titan? Nice. Your combined Chaos/Iron Warriors Grand Army is sure to be an absolute beast to play with. Especially Apocalypse games. Cant wait to see what you do with this Titan.

Cheers dudes. I'm actually quite surprised at how easily this thing goes together once the parts are cleaned up. I now have the lower half glued and pinned, and actually standing unsupported. The back of the top half is glued together ready for the detail parts. I intend on leaving the two halves of the torso seperate for now so I can paint the interior easily. Since I took the pics I have finished the pistons on the legs too.

That's a fairly substantial model you have there! Despite it being completely heretical, it looks really good so far.

Look forward to updates!

Thanks tigrius, yeah its a beast. Anyway. With all the parts cleaned up and trial fitted, its time to start painting the interior. As usual I'm not using an airbrush, so I started by drybrushing the whole body with multiple layers of leadbelcher and applying a black wash over that. Then starting in the corners I painted the chaotic fleshy bits in daemonette hide, and the tech priests robes in a darkened khorne red. The amount of detail on this thing is quite daunting, but im sure ifim methodical about it I'll be done soon enough. Lol.

Why thank you very much. Roll on a couple of hours and I've gotten the basics of the front interior done. I'm beginning to think this model was designed to be a pita to paint. The skulls in the corners were a particular delight to do.

Sorry for the image quality but I had to use my flash to get anything to show up

It starts to look awesome! And its definitely a super large model. Didn't expect that.

I would consider to give the bronze parts a weathered wash look with the nihiliar oxide wash.

Drybrushing the bronze with gold should give you the highlights you need on the trim.

Damn that's an ugly and angry face on the armour panel. Very nice. And is that a dead Imperial Princeps stuck in all the gooey awful and I'm assuming daemonic stuff/corruption?

Lol. Yes it most certainly is. Seriously, the detail on this thing is insane. Every time I think I've got everything done, I find something else that needs painting.

Aaaargh, the detail really is starting to get to me now. Lol.

I'm really not sure how far to go with the interior here. Ive done the wires, the instruments, the umbilical thingy and the fleshy stuff. Now I'm in two minds whether to keep going until I finally lose my mind, or call it a day once ive finished the crew members.I really would like to get this thing finished by christmas, so any aadvicewould be greatly appreciated

Anyway onto the part people actually want to see. Lol.

Well, I finally snapped. I decided to glue the body together, then realised that most of my hard work isn't visible anymore. Ah well.

I'm actually pretty happy with how the interior looks, and barring some final highlighting I'm thinking its time to start work on the exterior of the beast.
