Here's your opportunity to vent. In 100 words or less express your frustration that Blood Angels still aren't here. Trolls will show up saying not to whine, but that's okay. Let it all out. Don't let the frustration build up into pure GW hate. Here's mine:

All the other codices get updated first, I can deal with that. Several codices get two updates before Blood Angels get one, I can deal with that. Rumors of Blood Angel releases keep getting it wrong, I can deal with that. Other codices that have already received updates getting even more models and special rules is what breaks the camels back. Seriously, let's get everyone up to date before handing out extra goodies to those that have already got an update.

BA aren't "pushed back". The Tyranid Drop Pod was planned for this very week for months. Designing and making the miniatures, making boxes, making rules, making the White Dwarf, etc., etc..

Stuff like that isn't done last minute.

Sorry, but if you keep believing stupid click-baiting rumour-sites, it's hardly GWs fault.

Pushing our expectations of a release back is a better way of putting it. It's still very frustrating. Also, the trolls got here faster then I expected.

From the only places that we even get rumors of release dates from? I think we can all agree that GW is still in the stone age when it comes to advertisement and customer relations. When the only places we can get information from are rumor cites, and those rumors tend to be more or less accurate within acceptable standards of deviation, then where else should we get our information?

To be fair it's no ones fault but your own of you expected a release. And there's no trolls here? Yeah it sucks you've had to wait this long but at least it's not like the wait Dark Eldar had. And before you call me a troll ( ) just saying it like it is. It could be a lot worse.

Also, the book could end up worse... Be careful what you wish for

Really?

I don't think so.

What models will we see for the Blood Angels according those "more or less accurate" sites`?

Of course, we would all love to have GW inform and advertise like normal sane people. I am not defending GW, but just because GW is insane, doesn't mean the low-lives running said rumour-sites are any less so.

They are not. They know no more than you do, and care even less. They just throw random stuff onto their site to get clicks.

The alternative to "no information from GW" aren't "rumour-sites". They only make matters worse. The only consequence of "no information from GW" is ... "sucks, but no information from GW".

ImAGeek, I actually like you're comment. You just pointed out that things could be worse, and that's true. However, knowing this doesn't make me any less frustrated.

As for expectations of release, I think I covered that pretty well in response to Wonderwolf. If GW would just give us release information like most companies, then we wouldn't be reliant on rumor cites.

If you take all the rumors that the most 'credible' rumor cites have churned out and not just specific examples, you get a decent rate of accuracy. It's all about sample size.

I don't think all rumor cites are run by low-lives. Of course I don't know them personally, so I can't really say. However, I think that such sights probably need to be somewhat accurate, otherwise what keeps people going back to them?

Lastly, unless GW were to decide to take litigious action against rumor cites and enforce strict NDA's on their employee's, then rumor cites are inevitable, imo. For better or for worse, they are what we have to go by.

I am also annoyed that BA aren't here. It would be very easy to fix the problem by publishing a dataslate giving BA a "chapter tactics" rule and a character or two to be used with C:SM, and there's no excuse for not doing this.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Well, as your own current disappointment shows, definitely for worse.

If you want to wallow in your misery to "get back" on GW for not announcing their rules, good for you.

But while I cannot change GW's odd secrecy-policy, I can assure you that "insane GW + rumour-sites" will almost always leave you worse off than "insane GW + nothing".

"Waaaah waaaah my almost-SM army had to wait so GW could un-break the rules for a non SM faction! I couldn't just use SW rules if my own rules were too outdated that would be inconvenient!"

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Honestly, I'd be surprised if BA didn't have a new book before the end of the month. Of course, BA players will continue to whine until then, at which point Tau players will take their place back as 40k's loudest whiners.

It's all a crap shoot. GK came out of nowhere, a few things are rumored accurately a couple months out, but most stuff is not accurate anymore. Getting one's hopes up over non-information is a bit silly, the rumor sites are only useful for seeing whats actually out there (pictures from the next white dwarf, etc) that give clear indications of what's next.

Ugh this again. I don't like codex marine chapters, but the BA just have the right mix of neat characters and fluff, as well as table mechanics, to make them my favorite army.

My BA will not see ebay or the for-sale board of a game store even if we get hit by a super nerf codex.

If they got turned to "red marines" with a chapter tactic, maybe a total of 3 pages of fluff, and a couple big characters, I would drop 40k altogether, and you'd see a 15000 point BA army on ebay.

On topic: Yes, it's been an annoying year to say the least, hearing that BA "MIGHT" be the next codex each time, and every time the odds go up, but it still turns out to be someone else. I want my damn psychic powers back. Even though I know they're going to screw them up and put them in a table where you won't be able to rely on getting one necessary for your army strategy, which is still one of the dumbest parts of 40k core design...

I'm mainly excited to see what they do with an alternate force org and a formation. Throw those in, give the psy powers back, and standardize the costs with other marine books, and I'd shell out my "40k subscription fee" happily.

Ooh that's an interesting rumour. GW would be advancing the story again, since currently Leviathan is barreling down on Baal and the BA are making their last stand. If they have a campaign book like Sanctus Reach, then it's likely that they'll write the end result into the fluff. Looks like Leviathan is gonna get smashed in a Pyrrhic victory if you ask me...

Bloody hell man.

Did you happen to notice that in the army pics, the Nids were fighting Blood Angels/Flesh Tearers? And that there's a lot of rumours about a campaign book coming out about Tyranids vs Blood Angels (just like when Orks and then Space Wolves came out)? BA should be updated sometime between the end of the month and the start of the new year, easily.

On top of that, Nids are awful right now, they honestly deserve reparations of this magnitude as much as BA deserve a new Codex. I'm starting too look forward to all the whining that will commence when the new Codex drops and people say that they'll stick with their old Codex because it has more "Blood" items.
