Hey Everyone,
So today I dove into my bits boxes and out emerged a whole new crazy project....
I couldn't resist when I found a model VW Bus and begun throwing together some parts to begin a new Battle Wagon build!

This is only the very early stages of the build and am mostly blocking it out still and beginning to add armor plates to it.
There will be plenty more work to come from here and alot more plastic card to add!

I am very interested to see what people think of the concept and any input is welcome!

Being that it is a "Hippe Battlewagon" there defiantly needs to be a grot taking a bong hit in the vehicle.

Jokes aside, great idea/conversion.

I have that exact VW kit waiting to be orkified! I think my weekend has just been decided! Oh man so glad someone else loves mixing in airfix kits! I have so many to do!

definitely need to add more 'era' related stuff. maybe paint it all psychedelic with peace signs on it? have some orks with wavey long hair, with bongs and Elton john shades?

But seriously, I absolutely love what you have done so far. I think that scale of van with the rhino tracks really makes it look like a fairly hard-nosed vehicle.

I can't wait to see the finished painted version of this.

Only concern would be, the width at the front. The bus is quite slim in my memory, the tracks certainly add the width at the back, but at the front you might want to consider giving it something? I mean make a cool ram that's quite wide?

I randomly found it and had to build something out of it lol, I'd love to see what you end up doing with it if you build onto it too!
I also agree and was thinking of putting some orky peace signs on it or something still and I definitely have alot more "beefing" up to do to it dont worry!

I'd say to satisfy dimension/MFA sticklers maybe add a second pair of wheels onto the front axle w/ running boards for boyz as fairings over them? Really bulk it out. Then, go find some old OOP Goff Rokkaz & put them on the running boards lol.

Good ideas! You know its funny you mention the old Goff Rokkaz... I happen to have a set of them that I dug out as well and was thinking of adding onto this as well! so that could just work

Hey thought I'd update everyone on where I was at with this build!

as of now the Battle Bus features:
- More Armor
- More Build-up
- Main Battle Cannon
- Central Fixed Rocket Launcher
- Side Arm Rocket Launcher
- Side Mounted Machine Gun
- Rotating Turret Mounted Satellite Dish
- Front Extra Armor Ram w/ Sandbags
- Goff Rokkaz

Still Planned:
- More Armor to close in glaps and add to the build-up
- Add more Guns and other details
- Maybe some speakers for the band built in?
- LOTS of Rivets to come!!

As of now the Goff Rokkaz are not glued down, I'm still figuring out exactly what I want to do with them.
As always I am very interested to see what people think of the concept and any input is always welcome!

hey man! looking really cool I saw MadMax at the weekend and it was totally nuts, completely put me in the mood to make something luckily I had the kit from scratch so I just got stuck right in. Looking pretty mad, I did the same with a spare set of rhino tracks I had kicking about.

Have you seen mad max? cos yours completely reminds me of one of the vehicles that has this crazy guitarist attached to the front

As for size i think you'll find yours is a pretty good size its a little beefier than mine at the moment but generally pretty close to the BW.

Can't quite tell if the main gun is an energy or kinetic weapon. If energy then maybe run cables from the rokkerz to the gun? Make them power it like proppa noizy spiky beakiez.
