Subject: 3rd party bits for building a 40k inquisitor

Hi Dakka.
For a long time now, I wanted to build a few Inquisitors as allies for my Space Marine army. I aquired several GW Inquisitors, but nethertheless, still want to build a custom character. I'm very bad at working with green stuff, so I'm looking for parts I can use to build a custom character.
I already have good parts from various sources, but what I'm missing are fitting legs for carapace/power armour.
Scion bits are great, but the legs are not fitting for power amour. Neither are Scout legs.
Most GW inquisitors have medieval looking power armour, so I searched for something like this, but found nothing.
Chaos Warrior legs are too bulky, WHFB Empire have no armoured foot soldiers.
I'm currently looking at the Perry Foot Knights, but worry they are not "Heroic Scale" enough to fit with any GW parts. Anyone can confirm/deny this? Found no comparison shots with 40k miniatures.
Anyone have good suggestions for Heroic Scale armoured legs from any source?

Those are definitely too small. Try the GW Empire range, they should have some plate armoured legs.

Damn, thought so.
I did look at the Emipre range, but the have only mounted knights. All foot troops have unarmoured legs. Or did I miss something?

The perry miniatures are definitely slightly smaller than GW. If you list out the parts you already have in mind, we can help you better fitting into an leg.
Have you got a Gideon lorr inquisitor? If not, that is a badass sculpt inquisitor. If your inquisitor is thin, try dark eldar Kabalite legs; whfb high elf shadow warriors, dark elf corsairs have good cape bitz, empire inquisitor with 40k weapons.

It'd take some heavy conversion and I don't know how readily available they are in Europe, but Reaper minis has more armored legs than you can shake a stick at.

Anvil miniatures...whilst not straight medieval they do a range of armoured legs and torso's that might fit what your looking for.
Also combi-weapons ect

Thanks for all answers so far.
Gideon Lorr is on my To-Buy-list, but he's hard to track down for a reasonable price.
Kabalite Warrior legs are a good tip, I will try to get a pair and see if they look good.
Dreamforge Eisenkern legs are too big from what I've seen, don't know about the Valkir legs, but they look at least as big as Space Marine legs? Any pictures with a IG/Scion torso?
Anvil doesn't have what I'm looking for, while their legs are good, they are either Space Marine legs or IG, not the medieval armour style I'm looking for.

Warriors of chaos from the Fantasy line have a ton of armored legs, some of which are pretty cool looking. Might take a bit of scraping to remove the worst of the icons though.

No worries...Yeah anvil medieval legs are defo more on the power armoured scale of the range! Sorry it wasn't that useful.
I forgot to mention: I own perry footknights and can show you some comparison shots? But I can ans now and say they don't scale very well with geedubz stuff.

WoC legs are either in leather gear (Norse) or too bulky for my taste (Chaos Warriors).
@Hyglar's Hellraiser: Comparison shots for the Perry Foot Knights with SM/IG would be great!

Sorry for the delay!!! Automatically Appended Next Post: They are painted rusty cos they is zombie knights for KoW! Haha hope that helps dude
I actually use perry with a lot of conversion as IG with pig iron heads because they make my iron warriors space marines fluffy...ie giant killing machines

I don't have a picture with me right now but I made an inquisitor with the body of a Cygnar Stormknight. They have them in plastic now and even sell the gunners separately.
