Make sure you're using the seed "DAKKA". That's what the server uses. Other than that, no idea why it wouldn't be working.

Guys, if your sky tower is the beginning of your "sky city" then I'm afraid you have to move it.

It's far too close to dakka town. You have to realise that any land you build up there casts shadow on the ground below and means mobs (and creepers) spawn during the day. Try building it over a sea or ocean where no-one will mind.

I was using the seed displayed when you press f3 while using the dakka MP server.

Worked for me Corpses. I found our mine area in the 1.8 lands

It's not just about the lighting. It's about people who already have buildings there who probably do not want a large floating island over them (or even just that close). The dakka town is crowded as it is and the world is almost infinitely large, there are plenty of other places it could go.

Thats the trade off, you get many more people to play with, but you have to run the risk of your stuff possibly being stolen until you ask dark for it back if you don't take proper precautions.

yeah when i log on i can do that, i have a different timer mech i should build there that is harder to accidentally break

This is the Dakkatown mobfarm complete; there are two silos, the top of silo 2, (On the left seen here) is for passive mobs such as pigs, chickens, sheep, and cows. There is a constant flow of items, and I recommend coming down sometime for some free mob loot and supplies

That mob farm loooks rather impressive !

diddle: if you can mark it and make some signs/a marked path from the spawn area to the farm so people can find it easily

Everyone, my friend was playing on the dakka server while I was away. If anyone finds anything missing, let me know straight away and I will see if its in one of my chests. He took the gold from my pagoda and some of the glowstone and moved it, and I hope thats all he did. However, if anyone is missing anything big, if I somehow have that much I'll give it to ya.

There is another mobfarm already in the spawn that I believe dark made. I haven't seen it yet, but that's the people who spawn there sorted. The large one in the image is pretty much big enough to see, and is free for all of you guys, if you ever need bones, arrows, or want to make TNT etc.

I wish could see the manor. I also now live in one of mad realms projects called area 61 and I'm in charge of the mess tent.

Because I forgot my house's co-ords, and it is also a hollowed out hill, I went to check if you were talking about my house BBL.

It was not, although I did discover that someone had tampered with the nether-side doors.

EDIT: And by tampered with, I mean removed one lot of redstone wiring.

FFS, i'm getting sick and tired of wasting redstone, because it ultimately just leads to it getting stolen. I've lost about a total of 3 stacks due to various thefts, and it's starting to get ridiculous.

EDIT2: Also reporting a stolen diamond pick. Again.
