So, are these subject to custom orders? Like if I want 10 of the diver's helmets?

Przemas will be able to answer for sure of course, but in my experience dealing with maxmini, they're willing to do exactly that the majority of the time. For example on their weapons of various styles, you can typically choose (if it's a set of 5) for all 5 to be style 1, rather than a mix. You just have to let them know beforehand.

Heads look quite nice as the others have said, I'd like to see scale, maybe a photo next to a guardsmen or marine you have laying around? (Not sure about the "legalities" of that, it seems so touchy as of late!)

Edited out the picture from the post to avoid the spammalicious reposting..

Too big for guardsmen . Maybe, even bigger for a space marine.

The biohazard heads look great. Bummer they are marine scale. I could have used a bunch if they were more compatible with Guard.

Przemas, I see I'm not the only one wishing they were more human sized. Any chance you might consider something similar to the biohazard heads in human scale? I personally would be using them for Necromunda, but I'm sure they'd be a bigger hit for renegade guard players!

If you someday do a sleeker, sexier jetpack (like a tau one) then - coupled with those biohazard heads - you will have singlehandedly gotten me back into 40k. And I will owe you a beer.

I just saw the last one on there. Could be pretty good. you coudl use the sword one as a power sword to save some points.

Just not sure about the size as the description says they are for the "bulkier" 28mm mdels. My intention was to mount them in place of one of the exhause vents on a SM backpack. Do you think they woudl be too big?

Also, the description says a random selection of 5 arms. Wuodl it be a mix of the 3 pictured or are there more designs in the set?

In my experience it means if you don't specify, they send you 5 arms, which are a mix of the 3 styles. But I've always been able to contact and specifically request a certain makeup (ie, 4 of a and 1 of c) type of thing.

ive got a set and used them plastic chaos spawn for my iron warriors. The arms are too big for marines but they could be cut down since resin is easy to trim. The details are great and i love the claw hand and the chain saw hand. Overall the design is better suited to ork nobz and chaos marines.

@Ruyn: sure - simply write which ones you'd like to get in the comments field before checkout (thx targetawg)

@Captain Jack: we'll have those on Salute . The plan is to have complete range with us along with some new , pre-release stuff.

@Boomer: If I somehow get some time in the next couple of days to work out production mould zombie heads should be out next week.

@Praxxis: they may be a tad too big for an arm replacement on a regular "human" model, but IMO they can be ok for your purpose .
In the blister you'll find mix of those 3 designs (note that custom orders are not possible with Kromlech bits)

Just to relax a tad I'm trying to slap some paint on the Biohazard Heads (even though I've sent a batch to Olekkk to work out "official" paintjob).
So far I have fun painting them. Here's a shot showing all in various stages of completion and a close up on the one that is nearly finished.

That should work as i'm not looking to replace the actual arms on the CSM, i would be mounting the robo-arms on the backpack somewhere/somehow.

May well be placing an order on payday!

I was very excited to receive a package in the mail from Poland yesterday with my ANZAC heads. I was able to break into them this morning and try some test fits.

First, a couple notes on the heads:
1) The heads came off the sprue very easily - I thought I might have to use an exacto or razor saw at first, but I was actually able to just twist them off with my fingers.
2) I know others have mentioned this in their reviews of MaxMini's models, but I figured it's worth reiterating - there was very little flash or mold lines on the heads. Everything was very clean, requiring only a little cleanup.
3) The hat brims seem fragile, but this is a necessary weakness to get them to look right. With a little care, you can trim the neck down to fit GW's IG plastics without hurting the hats - just be careful about it.
4) The package arrived quickly after I'd ordered it. I was particularly impressed by this as I've had orders from Canada and the UK take longer than it took to ship from Poland.

Anyway, here are the heads test fit with some blutac on a couple Cadian bodies and a couple Catachan bodies.

The heads are a good fit for the Cadian bodies. The neck requires trimming down some to fit, but the proportions work fairly well with the rest of the body. They're a little on the slim side, but GW's Cadian and Catachan heads are pretty blocky. This gives the guys a slender look.

The heads are a little small compared to their hands, but that's more GW's fault than MaxMini's as that's just the proportions they use (Gorilla Hand HE Spearmen? Gorilla Hand Skaven Clan Rats?)

On the Catachans, the thin nature of the heads look more disproportionate, but still less so than the West Wind SoTR heads I've tried on Catachans in the past.

I think these can work with the Catachan bodies (and I plan on making them work), but they'll require building up the neck a little with GS so they don't seem to be wearing padded fake-muscle suits with a pencil-neck.

"That's not a knife, this is a knife."

My only gripe about the ANZAC heads is that the faces bear somewhat of a resemblance to Paul Hogan, of Crocodile Dundee fame - and not young, fit Paul Hogan - more like old, leathery, weather-beaten Paul Hogan. And don't get me wrong, I can work with leathery and weather-beaten. It works for a Guard army. But just as MaxMini worked hard to have a few subtly different hat styles, it would've been nice to have a little more variation in the faces/expressions.

All-in-all, great kit. I highly recommend it and I look forward to filling out my IG with more of them.

Those biohazard heads are quite impressive. If only GW would come out with a Codex: Death Guard, they would sell so fast you'd need to open up a new factory.

These are the ones that maxMini sell and apparently shoudl work ok on SM backpacks:

It's shame that there are only 3 varieties but it's better than what GW are offering. in game terms i woudlbe happy mountign those on the packs of my Lord/Asp. Champion and callgin it a power weapons (just put a knife or auspex in the models hand instead)

A little small and not quite what I'm looking for. More looking for a powerclaw type attachement witht he lenght of a standard servo arm. Thos are a bit short to reach over your shoulder and into combat, especially the chainsaw one.

Heck, a power claw for a SM would be cool, and workable. Just attach it onto the existing end.

Have a look at the other options on the MaxMini site. there are some power klaw looking things on there but i think they would be more suited to an arm replacement rather than a servo-arm.

Thanks for the review, DBM! It should be noted that pretty much -nothing- looks proportional on Catachan bodies because those bodies are so poorly sculpted in the first place. What I wouldn't give for some decent GW plastic light infantry...

Woohooo, finally I've been able to leave the workshop .

thx for review DBM !

@Boomer: sadly you'll have to wait a tad more. Rush before Salute forced me to delay release of zombie heads.

But now to good news.

Last year's Salute was a blast for us (thx goes to whole South London Warlords team for organizing it) so it would be a shame to miss it this year .
Yesterday, around midnight we've finshed preparing last boxes with goodies and I can finally confirm some of the things we'll have with us.
First of all our entire product range will be available during the event. But to spice things up we'll have some of pre-release stuff:
- barricades (set of 6 different pieces)
- Immortal (the 4-arms monster sculpted by Adam Grabowski)
- zombie heads

There will be a number of previews:
- gothic backpacks
- scrap tank (our first vehicle! YAY! There's a chance will have couple of copies for sale)
- Mechaworm

Our stand will be located exactly as in 2010 - stand TM07. Can't wait to see and meet some of you in person. So if by any chance you'll be Salute 2011 pop-in and say hello .
