Well, as part of the madness process it'll be as surprising to me as to you all at the end. I have no idea how it'll look in the end.

Think the claws needed this fade effect, but going to try to keep it darkish in order to make the runework stand out a little better.

might be due to the fact that i view it on my wifes laptop...but those claws look mighty lobsterlike this time

They're all sort of lobster like anyway.

As the title says, I think this change is sort of a subtle change from the previous update.

LOL... subtle change^^

one of us league members edited his thread recently to mediocre terrain building... i see that in the same line of thought...^^

middle section of hairdo is a bit strongly highlighted for my taste...

Yeah, I was trying to copy what I did with the masque.

Need to darken it a bit. Though, I'm trying to get the face the same at the moment.

well a wash might soften that effect down a bit...

Might be worth a try. I guess I'll brighten it a touch then try a wash or something.

sounds like a plan^^

Well I had already brightened it up a little before you mentioned that. For the skin a bit.

Well should be balanced out a bit more now, also put down the base for the gold/bronze. I haven't the room to get that antiquated gold look easy, which is why it tends to not be on infantry. But, the work is more or less the same.

It's at the fun stage of the skin where it's sort of a see-saw. Changes seem to have to be subtle at this point or not happen. Too strong and it can easily fall back to a previous step. -.-

hmm... therer is still the strong highlight at the hair...if it wasn´t from left to right so obviously it wouldn´t be so unnerving for me^^

Hopefully fixed the hair up a bit now, gold is coming along as well. A few edges here and there that I still have to get.

yes! the hair is finally fixed... i can roll again to a peacefull sleep now

and the gold is looking very good... warm and heavy!

Now the trick is figuring out why the silver I painted on the eye isn't actually there at all. Must have dried on the brush while I was trying or something.

Was thinking of skipping the glowing eyes because I figured it would mask the highlights on the face.

hell yeah... no silver to be seen???? and yep... that would ruin those highlights... damn....

Not sure what the bright part under the eye is, but need to fix it.
Haven't put down any gloss varnish yet either.

Gems could have probably come out a bit better too I suppose, but they seem alright.

alright they are but a bit more brightness to the gems wounldn´t hurt either^^

and the face... looks like she had a rouge accident^^

No idea how I'll brighten them.

hmmm... that is indeed a puzzler...or you have to imagine that a slaneesh demon can blush...?er...yeah... as if...

I was talking about the gems.

oh... aha^^

well a bit more of an highlight then? if you really don´t get it done but want to...then redo from scratch... no cheap way then^^

Hmm, could even be just how they look without the varnish I guess. They're probably one of the more annoying things to do.

but very rewarding nonetheless^^

Worked on the eye a little. Think it's about there.

Photo could be better.

For the actual entry picture, I'm thinking of probably getting detail shots of it to a pure white background like these WIPs put around a more "dramatic shot".
Something like either of these:

For some reason, when you mentioned glowing runes, I thought about this. Not sure why, or if you've played any of the Borderlands games before.
In any case, it's interesting to see what subtle changes you've made to your daemonettes.

She's looking very nice so far, are you still going for runes on the claws?
