Hi all,
I've finished my first test run on my re-started DKOK army, color scheme based one 153rd. C&C please.
Photos are pretty bad tbh, sorry about that.

They look really great. Cant wait to see more of them.
And like Ustrello said, if you want to add anything, add some mud. But they look good to me the way they are.

Looking good! I'd also recommend some mud. You can use a Tamiya Weathering Stick to get the desired effect. I apply it and then varnish over the mud effect, making it look wet.

They turned out really well. I don't know about mud effects. I think they look good as is.

I don't think they need dramatic mud or anything, but a little subtle dirt and dust on the boots and lower edges of the coats would add some realism. When they're kneeling on the ground like your gunner is their uniforms would pick up a little dirt, and DKoK aren't going to be able to spend 23 hours a day polishing their armor like space marines. A very light drybrush of the main color of the dirt on your bases would probably be enough. You aren't trying to have them caked in layers of thick mud, you just want to tint the color of their uniforms a bit.

Thanks for all the comments so far. I have a few infantry dudes painted up as well. I took me a long time and many repaints to figure out an efficient way to paint them up to a certain standard (figuring out how to paint the las guns took an eternity).
I have some weathering powder around, i might do some trials but I am generally not a fan of overly muddy DKOKs. I imagine the soldiers are all relatively fresh and disciplined "cannon fodder" while their equipment is old, fixed up, rusty, stuff.
Will post more pics and how-to if folks are interested.

sterling work. look really good. I wouldnt go to mad on mud. some weathering powder on the base and then up the hems of the coats, trousers etc would be enough. great work
