Hey all, looking for some help/advice on a possible modification/conversion I'm going to be doing. I have a CSM Iron Warriors army I started when I was 10(now 28), and am looking to convert my old Blood Angels Predator into a CSM variation. It's an old one(stamped with 1995 copY rights old) and want to obviously Chaos it up, which leads me to my troubles.

Since it will carry Daemonic Possesion I was to make it look as such, and since I have some extra bits from CSM Termies and Tact squads was going to use them to make tentacles reaching out of the turret hatch and engine deck, as well as possibly cut a hole in the front and put an eye looking out... Obviously this is a lot, and I am no sculpture with green stuff.

Just want opinions on the idea, as well as maybe better ideas if you have any.

Go to green stuff world and check out their tentacle and cable roller

You can probably pick up some bits off ebay. Such as the spikes/skulls/bodies and such.

You can also try and free hand the symbol on the top of the tank!

I will most certainly have a look at the green stuff roller, and eBay as well for bits, just currently at this point I'm not even sure how to go about it, currently is dismantled and has some base painting done(had to go to work, and am working on a current predator for my army), but I'm just not sure how ro go about it, I don't want to go too far with the chaos and spikey bits that it looks absurd and terrible.

Definitely get one of these, they great for what you are after. Very easy to use and it won't matter if you have no experience with greenstuff. Just lay a little water or talc on it to stop it sticking and you'll be away.

thabks for all the help, appreciate it, I'm new to the site but already liking it more so than others. Hopefully I can do something interesting with it, I won't post my current painting and such... I definetly DON'T measure up to the great stuff on here lol

Yeah definitely post pics of your painting, people are only harsh critics when it comes to commission work, as it's work that has been paid for. You'll be surprised at how fast you can progress as a painter with a bit of input from others. It can save loads of time by not having to learn everything the hard way.

Well, here's 2 of my newer models, the full squads are done, but I think they came out OK compared to where I was at 10 years old lol, do need some work though.

They are looking good mate, colours are neatly applied and look smooth, and your hazard lines look neat. Great job so far. I'd look at adding depth as a next step, a watered down glaze of darker shades around the bottoms of sections, and a highlight around the tops will make the details pop out nicely.

They look good dude! Freehanding lines like that is no easy task!
