Seems like 40k orks may be getting some love too.

I've been ignoring the whole hobby for months now hoping that this would happen. My dream is a new codex, but I'll settle for what appears to be moar dakka.

I'm a bit jaded after the phone-in that was the WAAAGH! Ghazghkull supplement, but I'd be glad for anything that might give Orks a fighting chance against the 7.5 dexes.

I'm guessing there will be an ork model for Gods Clash or w\e it's called, hopefully the rules are as good as the renegade knight.

Maybe even just an actual Big Gunz plastic kit that they somehow missed out on updating? I mean the kannon, lobba and the zzap cannon are all only available in plastic via the battlewagon turret part. If its priced reasonably and not the horrendous price they currently have now for Mek Gunz, it'd be cool.

Naw, it'll be AOS, I'm sure. It was teased in the most recent issue featuring AOS Orcs (*ahem* "Orruks").
I would say Orruk wizards, since both Wurrzag Da Great Green Prophet and the Orc Great Shaman are "Temporarily out of stock" on GW.com, but they have already teased new magic users. Pics and prices:

Maybe new artillery? Plastic versions of the catapult etc? Or new weapons similar to their 40k counterparts?

Who knows.

Do AoS/Fantasy Orks say "Dakka" the way 40K Orks do?

The reason why I'm hesitant to say its Orruks is because from what we can tell they don't seem to have any dakka, just choppy from the Ironjaws guys. Maaaybe the Weirdnob? Other than that I don't think they really correlate well.

Plastic Kannon/Lobba/Zapp gun kit is a good guess. Watch, it'll be on the same Mek Gun chassis and cost the same. LOL.

This is the week after the orruks, which are all being released in one week for some reason. 30th April preorder. Dakka is definitely 40k. The wish is that we will finally see new warbuggies but it may just be another repack of some kind.

All I have to say is that if it *IS* a new 40K Codex for Orks, hopefully it comes with a hefty decrease in points. I don't like the implications of it regardless. Orks received a new codex in what, June 2014? This is way too soon for that. Though I would be okay if it did bring them up to speed with the 7.5e Codexes, and if it still worked with Ghazghkull, even better. Knowing GW though...

Gathering the Informations.

I very much doubt it's a codex.

Might be some kinda small box or another Campaign.

I'd almost entirely wager on it being new buggies / deffkopta kits.. If it didn't say "zap!".

There are damn near no things in the ork Codex which go Zap! other than meks / bigmeks and walkers; all of which do it solely due to the Kustom Blastas.

So given literally all of those things have gotten recent kits, I'm actually betting on some sort of gigantic mek to go with the Chaos Renegade / Clash of Gods rework.

Maybe a re-work of the Gorka / Morkanaut to be a super-heavy?

Probably just rules for a Gorka/Morkanaught for the Renegade Knight game.

Would be cool if its the orks first GMC Meka.

Or they could be adding the zap gun/ kustom mega blasta to more vehicles (ala lascannons and multilasers)

If they made the 'naughts superheavies, that would be sweet!
If just rules to have them fight the storm surge/knights, that's kinda cool I guess.

Come on new shiny kits! (Maybe if they have enough redone kits they will release a new ork book. It has been out as long as the eldar and space marines ones were...)

That would be totally sensible, and cheap for GW to do, given all the weapon bits are already in other kits, and they'd only have to add a small chassis and crew.

Therefore GW either won't do it, or as you say will charge Mek Gunz prices for it and then wonder why it doesn't sell. :( Even a box of 2 for the Mek Gunz price would be too expensive for my wallet...

A new codex would potentially be brilliant, but I'm not holding my breath - the teaser could just as easily refer to something as trivial as an ork battle report.

Gork and Mork might be smiling on me, got a ton of OT from work and that fat paycheck should correspond with when the leaks should surface. Either its an orky release with some flash dakka and dead killy choppas...... or GW is a giant tease and I continue to work on rounding out my Space Wolves force.

As to speculations (which are always fun and full of disappointment) I wouldn't be surprised if GW make Orks some Megalootas (aka Ork Centurions). Big expensive kits with lots of dakka and of course some formation that requires like 10+ of the things.

Hopefully there's something really good for Orks, especially if it's a new model wave that finally replaces the remaining sore spots that are the War Buggies/Skorcha, Deffkoptas and/or Grot artillery pieces. (thinking Zzap Guns/Lobbas)

I'd love to see Orks get the new codex treatment too, but sadly, they probably won't. Kind of a huge slap in the face too, considering that the likes of Marines & Eldar got shiny new books after only a couple of years.

Weren't there also rumors related to a stand alone flyer game? Perhaps that'll be Ork flyers vs. Imperium flyers?

'Murica! (again)

Ork copters or buggies would be great. But no idea. Seems like a since resculpt of an older model. No proof, just a feeling. But hell, been so surprised with Ork/Orruk releases this week...who knows.

It could be anything. It could be an actual kit for Big Gunz or... some sort of Mek Tank aka Mekboy Junka. Or they release all at once - the buggy, the kopta, the gunz.

Heck just update the Gorka/Morkanaught to be an assault vehicle and I'll pick up a couple. Couldn't believe it when they came out and they weren't.
