A freshly slain giant (Can anyone guess how?) has been reanimated and once I add some still seperate models he will be rampaging through an empire x-bowman regiment. 
I decided to keep the conversion simple as I don't have the skill to really go to town on it.

Should I paint up the halflings as being 'fresh' or having been stuck in there since the giant died?

Stuck there since the giant died maybe you can add some skeleton foot. A sekelton horse instead would aslo be funny. I really vote for the zmobie halflings. I love the crow.

If you added a few more swords sticking out of him in a RnF pattern (and maybe a battle standard too), it would look like he impaled himself on top of a Greatswords unit.

Should get him finished to the waist by tomorrow and will update then.

May need some touch ups here and there when I finish the model as a whole but pretty happy so far (not aiming at Golden Daemon level, but well above 'tabletop' standard).

Still working on the purple pant leg (currently base coated).
The loincloth thingy will (hopefully) be painted up with a maltese cross to match the standards for the rest of my army

Awesome conversion WG!!!! I love the whole zombie aspect, I think I may have to pick this kit up someday just to model something fun like this

I'm planning on building a Skaven Giant one day, altough I don't play them

3 busy weeks of delivering babies in my obstetrics term for university and I finally got some time the last few nights to finish of the giant to the waist.

I have decided that whenever I do a WHFB army from now on I will at the very least build a giant for the army as the model is just so good.

Anyway to the pics.

Most colours are pretty close, some of the close ups have very harsh highlights due to flash. Its pretty well blended in real life (as well as its ever going to be anyway).

The back legs:

The barrel was suprisingly enjoyable to paint but the spare club was an absolute bugger thanks to the rope strung everywhere.

A lower angle for those who love *donkey*shots. The super white eyes on the halfling are thanks to my camera's flash. Note the finger and toenails on the halflings.

From the front. I'm not completely happy with the blood from the crossbow bolt bat it looks alot worse from this low angle.

I'm at a bit of a crossroads ATM. Whether to paint the vast amount of skin left and hope there is no paint splatter from the rest of the model. Chop it into sections and hope I can blend the skin at the joins, or paint the extras first (most of them) and do the skin last.

What about using tape to protect the rest of the model while you paint the skin?

How about wrapping the chest and body in toilet paper after doing all of the skin, then sticktaping some regular printing paper around for protection, letting me concentrate on the arm features...

BTW: I've just decided the bolt blood is too high and am going to fix it..

On that last shot whats sticking out of the giants stomach? That another bolt?

Yes, theres one in his leg, one in his chest and one in the belly.

I'm putting the 'running away guy' on the base with a dropped crossbow left behind.

Muhahahaha watchout the zombie halfings are coming ! And not only for your fridge...

Time for another update.

I finished the flesh on the body and shoulders.
Will have to go back over a couple of sections that these pics have shown where the highlighting isn't too smooth but overall I'm pretty happy.

Just started on the flesh of the lower arms and hands tonight.

Cool, cool first I thought the blood is to bright but I think it's quite okay. Ths is areally fresh corpse.

very neat and tidy i love the skin tone and have one thought, perhaps some blood done with water effects especially out of the mouth.

More blood coming when the sword is painted...

New update:

All I've got left to do now is finish the sword handle, the man in the giant's hand, the running peasant, a crossbow and the basing.
Hopefully should be done by end of next week.

Here are the the best pics I could get out of over 100. Due to the size of the model and the flailed limbs/weapon my camera was refusing to focus. Hopefully I'll get that sorted before the next update...





Looking back I wish I'd gone with a green for the dragon scales, but oh well...
