As the subject says I'm looking to make an iconic 40k "church on treads" does anyone know of a plastic cathedral model that fits the universe and also looks good on baneblade treads? not looking to do a lot of cutting but I'd like to do a decent amount of conversion to make it look good. Not opposed to alternatives (i.e. legos or whatever will work)

I recall seeing people put the garden of morr buildings on tanks but cant find any images.

and from what i can see a lot of scale churchs are going to be mdf or resin.

you could probably use the morr buildings as toppers and build out the primary building out of plasticard and pegasus kits.

not opposed to resin, not too sure how MDF would hold up to repeated use and abuse. Any examples of resin?

Edit: just checked out the garden of Morr buildings, a little too small for the baneblade unfortunately as I like the sculpts.

the puppets war one is looking real good, if it was taller it'd be perfect. Looking for something along these lines.

I'd second the idea of the Pegasus buildings and just cutting/modifying till you're happy.

the only negative I can see with the pegasus kit is that it doesnt come with a roof and everything is the same size (no "tower" vs. "main building" look) do you have a size comparison of it next to a baneblade?

Each section is roughly 3 1/4" square (85mm).
They come in "single" and "double-wide" and each wall section comes with pillar section - they slot into each other. 3 sides of the wall pillars have sockets to fit the end tabs.
There are also "door" sections which have opening double (Arched) churchy-style doors and solid (no window openings) panels.

(the box comes with a stack of blank "bricks" to fill the unused ones).

I don't have a baneblade to compare them to.

That Morr Garden kit is pretty sweet looking; might have to include that on future board plans...

Anyone know why the Pegasus church has no roof, anyways?

None of the pegasus' buildings I've purchased in the past have roofs. It's been very difficult to create them and has ultimatley turned me off of their kits. I suspects it;'s due to ease of play or being able to build the towers in whatever construction you want.

There are a number of Plasticville USA O scale (1/48th scale) church kits. Might want to give Ebay a try.

I also echo the Pegasus idea. Great modular terrain.

Provided you get the right kit, it shouldn't be that hard to MAKE a roof for it (tiled roofing is available by the sheet at specialist hobby stores that deal in model railways).

I went for an oxidised metal roof look on mine (which is just corrugated card over foamcore. It's designed to come off to allow access to inside it)
